OK! I lost a couple of ounces!!! My fasting BS was 124 this morning. That is my best news! I will try to keep my macros at 70/5/25 % today. Update: I see I was a little off: 72/6/22 %, but I don't see any way of changing that. If I add more protein, I add more calories. Maybe using a half pat of butter in the bouillon instead of a whole tbsp would work. I tried that adjustment and it works! 71/5/24 %. That makes the calories 1101, which is closer to the 1000 I'd like to do. I have a few snacky cravings today, but the bouillon later in the evening, with butter in it, is very filling and satisfactory. Mathematically, with my age, height and my activity level, I should be eating 1200-1300 calories, but I wasn't losing, just see-sawing! So I will try this for a week and see what happens! Balancing this is time consuming!
Just as I was getting started weeding my garden, my husband drove in and reminded me we were going to the rodeo tonight, so instead of riding my exercise bike this evening, I did some walking in the parking lot! 3228 steps isn't a record, but I did bestir myself. My second good news for the evening was when I checked my BS. I had forgotten to take my lunch meds and my supper meds, so I was expecting a high reading, but it was 127! I'm supposed to take metformin with every meal, and glipiside before every meal, and januvia at bedtime. My morning meds were the only ones I took today!I am so happy that I was able to skip meds and still have a reasonable BS. Keto DOES work for diabetics!
181.8 lb Lost so far: 3.2 lb.    Still to go: 36.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
