Confused. Ate way more calories than I should but I lose weight? Around the same or a bit more than what I’ve normally been losing. I think I’ll keep it up for another week and see if I still lose.
141.0 lb Lost so far: 19.6 lb.    Still to go: 16.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Good 4 You, I recently read an article on this type of thing.....It often pertains to plateaus. I read that if you've hit a wall and changing exercises doesn't work, add more to your eating plan for up to 2 weeks, then gradually move back down again ---it supposedly causes your body to reset each time as it doesn't have enough time to adjust. So the metabolism is turned back on and actually increases. haven't been in this circumstance, so I can only relay my research finding. But I am proud 4 you - this is great anyway you can get it !!!!

Thanks :). Everything I read says after just 12 weeks of dieting I shouldn’t be hitting a plateau. Also it’s not a true plateau if you budge even 0.1. I’ve had many weeks less than 1% and I think 1-2% is a decent loss for someone who is my weight (141-142). I’d prefer 2% but take 1% lol. My in and out always fluctuate as well as my macros. Being on the go with 3 children, drs etc it’s almost impossible to stay in one range constantly so I try to stay in it when I’m home. If I go all day without eating I start to feel sick so sometimes it’s beef jerky on the go! That way I’m not tempted to stop for biscuits and gravy lol. I’d already trained myself to grab jerky as it is healthier, more filling and my kids don’t try to steal it as much lol. I’ve read about refeeding and I’m wondering if that’s what I’m doing. I plan to spend my free time the next few days researching :).

Oh ----don't get me started on Biscuits and Gravy !!!! One of my all time favorites. Grew up on my relatives and Dads Southern Cooking ---nothing like in the world. My favorite is what we call "drop biscuits" with gravy....now you've done it, I want some with patty sausage, bacon, fried okra ----why did you mention it :{ As for the jerky, great idea, I use it alot as well. Great little pick me up when little food boost is needed. Good luck with your research ! Try to enjoy your weekend as well.

I lean toward southern food as well. Carbs and protein! I’m not strict on my diet though so I do get some things like that. I cit them all out and after a few weeks it was add some back in or give up the diet so I compromised with myself. Jack link is 120 cal for original and 50 cal for original lunchbox ones. You can’t hardy find a decent snack for that! Other than veggies but I’ve never really eaten veggies so it’s been a struggle to eat so much lately. When the garden starts producing it’ll be easier as I can munch as I clean veggies to freeze. I’m a muncher and always have food in my hand and that’s been another struggle. Almonds are my friend! Need to see if those are hurtinf my weight loss or helping as they are high in fat. Thanks I will and you enjoy yours as well :). Staying home as we aren’t big into the partying this weekend and with harvest around the corner we can’t take a vacation right now. Research, games with the kids, reading on the porch and hanging out at home is what’s on the schedule for my family :). Have fun and be safe ;).
