Happy Saturday! I really wasn’t hungry yesterday due to my extra errands and it being sweltering hot. I had some tuna, carrots, apples and an entire cantaloupe 😂 Today, I weighed in and a big smile came across my face! I’m trying to be at 165 by Friday. I’m going to make it, I just can’t have any snaccidents.

At work today, have fresh fruit and tuna with for when I get hungry. So far, just coffee. Although I went to bed early and got 8 hours of sleep, I’m pretty pooped today. And, my hip is SCREAMING. 🙄

Excited to grill some corn and chicken later.... and I’m running to the furniture store after work to buy my husband and myself a new bed! Our anniversary is in a week. The new bed should help with the sore hip, hopefully.

Well, just going to bludgeon forward with this day, hope everyone is happy and feeling strong!

I find that I have to keep on changing the pillows I use because of my hip and my neck. I have one of those 12 foot long ones like pregnant women use, I shove one leg under my bottom and leg and the other between my knees. There is a good exercise - I have bursitis and arthritis in my hips - I don't know why it works or how, but I find it helps. Lie on your back with your legs bent, sway your legs from side to side, keeping them bent and your bottom and feet on the floor.

Thanks guys! I’ll try that exercise. I broke my hip 13 years ago, and I’ve had chronic pain ever since. I used to take tramadol and gabapentin but I’m happy to say losing weight and limiting sugar has helped me get off all meds! Arthritis and bursitis- EXACTLY. I also have IT band syndrome, and sciatica. I found that I would eat when the pain was high. It wasn’t a cure, just a distraction. And the pain was reason for inactivity. An excuse. But now I’m accepting of my pain, and I refuse to let it keep me still. 💪🏻 I bet I’ll have lots less pain after today. 🛏

You take turmeric and alpha lipoic acid for the inflammation, right Mini? I’ve found a bit of help with that as well as with aspercreme, lidocaine patches (now over the counter in the states by aspercreme) and Epsom salt baths. 🙆🏻‍♀️

I can't take the turmeric it gives me bad stomach ache - especially when I'm fasting.
