Yes! As you know, Saturday is the "big weigh in day" for me, and I reached a new, all time low! I am today 86.6 kgs, 200 grams less than two days ago, and dropping 1.2 kgs since yesterday! Woohoo!

Now, let me talk about last week's weigh in and what I did to change things up.

Last week I did NOT lose weight. I gained. Not a ton, but some. I hate when I end up gaining weight after a whole week of doing right. I did go back and trace what I ate, and realized that there were quite a lot of whites in there. The whites being white bread, rice, pasta and potatoes.

So this week, I have cut it all out, (almost) completely. The result? I am down almost three kgs since last week. I'm truly amazed how much of a difference this makes - if this IS what made the difference. I think I will follow this regimen one more week to see how things go, and if anything changes. I haven't really missed those foods, but it DOES make it harder to find food to eat when out. There is a lot less options when you look for only meats and vegetables, and none of the whites.

It's been okay though, kept me from eating too much outside home and work, and that of course also saves me some money. Not a bad thing at all.

Today is Indulgence Day. I just recalculated what I'm supposed to eat today, and since I now weigh less I will have to eat 100 calories less - 3500 calories. It's still a TON of food, though.

Thankfully my friend and neighbor will help me out - it's his birthday and we're invited there for dinner. I am curious what the menu will be, we have specifically asked to do this on a Saturday so we don't have to be too worried about the calories - we are of course still counting everything - EVERYTHING - but with 3500 calories (and 3000 for Wife) it's a lot easier to do than on a 1600 calorie budget.

Oh, and I gotta brag about wife. She also followed the "no whites" regimen, though she chose to not cut out white bread, just limit it a little. She dropped 1.2 kgs - more than she's ever done in a week before. I'm so proud of her!

Today, we're gonna go do the big shopping for the week, then go have lunch out, then I'll go teach the kids some real rock'n'roll (had to move my classes from Tuesday to today), and then birthday party tonight. Busy day. I hope I remember to drink water all day. It'll make me feel more on top.

Have a great weekend, everyone! Life is good!
