Did you all hear that THUD last night? That was me falling off the wagon! The dinner special was the deluxe Mexican plate and I ordered it instead of the fajitas. Tacos, chalupas, and enchiladas. Carb city! At least I didn't eat the rice! This morning my joints are telling me they disapprove. Why didn't they say something last night???? Sometimes I am so darn weak it's pitiful. I vow to do better today.

When I fall off the wagon I make up for it by pushing it for a while. And after reading what you at last night all I can think to ask is - why wasn't I invited?

I have the same issue if I eat wheat and wheat products too much...you can recover!

I know the feeling! LOVE Mexican food. I break my chips into very small pieces and get my own bowl of salsa to dip them in, so the 10 - 12 chips I allow myself turn out to feel like a Bunch. Eat slowly. The last few times we ate Mexican, most of the chips remained in the basket! I also order fajita's and leave the wrap off, just eat the goodies with a fork. And yes, I do add some of that wonderful cheese dip to this.

you are only human, and we are all weak sometimes. Just pick yourself back up and start walking in the other directions. We don't do Mexican out, but I use salsa a lot in cooking instead of tomato paste or sauce. When I have it as dip I use pork skins instead of chips. I am from Athens, Georgia. Sort of a long distance from Athens Greece. LOL

None of us are perfect, I probably would have had a margarita (or two) along with the mex food. If any of you are interested I have a great bison taco salad (no chips) recipe that serves two, or one really big eater... about 350 calories per serving, 21 gms carb, can be further modified if you're on a real low carb diet.

Rhontique - Every time you fall off the wagon and have joint pain as a result you are closer to being able to walk away pain free. It took me 6 years of pain with every meal before I threw out all grains and seeds. I know if I eat it it will hurt so bad the pain just isn't worth the bother. When it hurts that bad it gets easy...... good luck and I hope the inflammation settles down quickly.
