Well, hello there Mr. Weight Loss. Welcome. I've been expecting you, and I am a little annoyed that you're late. It's okay though, as long as you made it here safely. Please meet mr. Weight Gain. Sadly, he can't stay. He was just about to leave. :)
Yes! I am 1.2 kgs down since yesterday - the weight loss race is ON!
In a perfect world, I would reach 91.0 kgs by Saturday morning - and with my track record it is not impossible. I'm not sure it'll actually happen though, as my weekend spike day really messed with me this time around. We'll just have to see, won't we?
Yesterday, I met with my coworker, who is also a gym coach, at the gym. He showed me all the machines, what to do, how much, for how long and made sure I had a good understanding of them. He's such a great guy, and super supportive of my weight loss. He's agreed to take good care of me for the next month, two times per week, free of charge - simply because he has seen my results and wants to give me the award of beefing up my body a little. That is probably the best gift I have gotten during this journey (other than my AMAZING BASS that Fender currently is building for me).
Today, however, I am home sick. First of all, after the session yesterday, my leg started hurting. I don't think it's anything critical, but I do think I over did something and my right thigh is very upset with me. And to top it off, I think the flu that my wife has and/or the pneumonia that my daughter has have finally realized that there was one more person in the household that it could bring to the ground.
No matter, I am excited that I have started exercising and committed to it by meeting with my friend, and I'm excited that I'm losing weight again. Three gain days in a row is a little much for me.
Life is good.

What a great friend being so supportive and helpful :-). I am sure the weight lifting will be a real help with your journey and enable you to tone and burn calories. You are bound to be a bit "sore" if you are not used to it... Sometimes my joints and muscles, feel stiff and sore for 2-3 days after - but I always think that's a good thing - shows I "worked" them. It gets the backs of my thighs in particular, sometimes I wonder if i am going to be able to exercise them - but as soon as get going they are ok. Unfortunately as you get older you do take longer to recover. I hope the flue doesn't "catch up" with you..... I have left it till last ..... Sooooo pleased the weight has started coming off - remember your "spike" day was a day late, so everything will be off kilter.... Will be intrigued to see if you make 91kgs by Saturday (which really should be Sunday because of the moved Spike). I will be on hols, by then, so will have to curb my curiosity until I get back. :-)
