Yesterday got to play Hooky mid-day and check out Taken 3 with some work associates. Big Problem - Studio Movie Grill has wonderful food. Best laid plans go haywire.

Week 5's challenge of avoiding "processed" foods is more of a challenge than I thought it would be. When I think of processed foods I think lunch meats, and canned/packaged goods. Well alrighty then - that includes no pasta, salsa's or dressings, etc. unless it was made fresh.

Another week and another fail - ARGH!

Also avoiding anything that has "enriched" anywhere on the packaging. Enriched means they've processed all the nutrition out of the food product and then had to put "fake" stuff back in to accommodate. I cook almost entirely from fresh these days. It's expensive, but given all my other food challenges (sweets, snacking, etc.), I'd be a lot worse off I didn't cook that way. Hang in there. I can already tell my Monday weigh-in isn't going to be pretty, but we'll get there! We will!
