Rckc's Journal, 17 June 2021

So. Went a bit off the rails the last couple weeks, gained back to 150 and now back to where I started 143.6. As usual I'm trying to figure out why I self sabotage. I have a HealthyWage bet that I've been right on track to win and then this...I have until July 1st to lose 4 lbs. I feel it's possible but will have to be very low calorie. A part of me seems to enjoy the challenge of getting down to the wire, yet a part of me is stressed and depressed because of it.

Anyhoo, I'm not going to give up. I may never figure out a "why" but I do need to stop such crappy self defeating behavior 💪
143.6 lb Lost so far: 131.4 lb.    Still to go: 7.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

At least you didn't goof off for almost two full months during your challenge period, like I did. I think you can do the four pounds! Is your husband on target to reach his HW goal? We're all coming up on our deadlines. CRUNCH TIME!

Debbie- no in the end he’s not lost a thing. He has 20 lbs he’d like to lose but it’s pretty challenging. He’s in a truck 5 days a week with a partner , has a sensitive stomach- no raw vegetables and very few cooked, no dairy, he has to keep something in his stomach or he’ll be nauseous. In fact I’ve told him of your fasting and he can’t believe anyone could go that long without eating. Add in a sweet tooth and energy drinks=disaster

My husband has only lost 10 of the 23 pounds he wanted to lose, and then he stalled a couple of months ago. Mostly my fault, though, I guess, since I'm the one that prepares all his food. He has taken to drinking one Frostie Vanilla Root Beer a day, and likes to have dessert after dinner (and sometimes after lunch). Thankfully, he only wagered $100 on his weight loss goal. BUT, I got $100 for referring him, so it all works out in the end.
