Ditto, I like being alone with the pets. My roommate is gone a lot and he is a night owl, so it works!

You are not by yourself. I'm 68 and retired too. I enjoy sleeping late a couple days a week. I would do it more if we were not baby sitting my Granddude during the week days... Enjoy!!!
