Update - my legs remembered how to do a 40 minute speed walk, although I must admit that last hill was challenging.

But saw something new (and a little disturbing) in the park. There was an advertising sign by the side of the pond. Not one of those discrete "donated by" plaques, but a colored real estate sized sign! I sure hope they are not turning my beautiful lunchtime sanctuary into a billboard.

Oh well, money talks.

Hope you enjoyed your walk. Looking into my crystal ball, I see a Buffy Bear, slim, trim, wearing shorts and a halter top by June 1. :~)

ClassicRocker - I'll accept the slim and trim, and maybe even the shorts. But it will take a whole lot of plastic surgery before catch me in a halter top!

Give 'em hell Buff! How dare they! You should speed walk right up to that park management and tell them a thing or two. Than speed walk back down to the sign and kick the crap out of it. LMAO! Think of the weight you will lose! ... besides your temper. :)

Tracy - That will be great! Unfortunately, since you began OWW DH began working out of town Monday - Thursday, so my weekend begins on Thursday night. Got to learn to deal with it!

Did you get shin splints when you first started your walking routine? I did last year and they went away. When I went off of my diet/exercise routine and gained all this weight back, I expected I'd have to start over with the shin splints, too. Sure enough, today I was hurting, but pushed on to the end. My feet felt so heave and clumpy--LOL.

Jilzee - very lucky today - no shin splints. But congrats to you on pushing through. Starting over is always hard. Next time it should be easier.
