I've really lost a lot of momentum. I think I got too comfortable with the weight that melted off so quickly in that first week, week and a half, so I started believing that I deserved to indulge a little. I know this is a classic diet mistake. So I'm nipping this way of thinking in the bud and I'm back on track as of this morning.

I'm counting calories more carefully than ever so I stay within my 400 to 600 meal-per-day range. Today, I'm having a turkey sandwich from Subway that will come out to 415 calories. If I'm really hungry, I'll add a bag of Baked Lay's, 130 calories.

I still struggle with working out. I hate it but I was being so good about it for a while there. I think it's just the stress of being in a gym that gets to me - fighting for machines, the smells, etc. Does anybody have suggestions for me? I've never tried videos at home and I do have the world-famous San Diego Balboa Park literally in my backyard.

Um, no. I'm 23, not 83. Thanks!

I can't do the gym.. it just seems so pointless (and frequently, gross). Sports seem to work for heaps of people. One of my friends rented almost an entire gym's worth of equipment (I have no idea what that cost him!) but he used it every day and got exactly what he wanted out of it... so maybe it was worth the money?
