Keeping a food diary can help reveal the unhealthy habits that are stopping you from losing weight. Writing down everything you eat will make you less likely to pick up the handful of M&M's in the office or order the extra side of ranch for your salad. The FatSecret App helped me tremendously in meeting my goals. The Food Journal was one of the tools to reach my goal. I have been maintaining a healthy weight for 8 months now...religiously logging my food intake (even supplements and water!). But now, I feel like I am ready to let go of these training wheels. So today, marks the day, I'll stop logging food on FS. I will still log my weigh ins... and update you all about my waistline... 😁 And... I shall continue posting my food photos and interact with you all because you guys are the best!!! πŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’ž
107.0 lb Lost so far: 21.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Remember... you know how much to fill up on that white plate of yours! And it's okay not to finish it all. You will know when you're full when you drink a full glass of water and your stomach tightens!

If you're worried about the left overs... place them in a glass box... and eat it again when you feel hungry after a few hours...

If anyone can do it- it's you girls! I'm scared... but again- I may feel differently if I am ever to the point of maintenance. That's so far off for me that it doesn't matter.

Good for you!!! If you start gaining a bit go back to tracking. I can tell you though it's harder to do once you stop. Part is making the time to put recipes in your cookbook as it's time consuming. Once you develop good eating habits it's normally pretty easy to stay on them, not eating on plan simply tends to not make you feel good.

DP... just keep on keeping on! You are rather consistent in what you do right now... do it repeatedly until it becomes second nature. You will know when these healthy habits are set in stone if you can second guess a loss or a gain.

Wholefood... I'm just tracking my waistline, blood sugar, Body Fat percentage and weight. Those alone are taking much of my sweet time LOL!
