Still don’t have my appetite back fully which is a very good thing! I found some ideas on meals from Pinterest from a lady who more or less followed the Nutrisystem plan but did her own food. Far as I can tell, NS is portion control and calorie control. Anyway, I made her French Toast this morning and had a grilled chicken sandwich for lunch. I couldn’t finish either which is SO unusual for me!

I did nutisystem years ago, it's a lot of portion control, but their packaged food has a lot of added fiber, which keeps you more full. It worked great, I lost 65 pounds after struggling to lose post-baby weight.

Wow, thanks that is good to know. I don’t want to spend the money plus I don’t do well with packaged food but I think the concept would work for me. Congratulations on that weight loss!

My husband did Nutrisystem a couple of years ago. He lost weight, but after about a month he’s started breaking out in hives. Turned out that he’s allergic to soy, and their foods use pretty much of it. He had to stop eating it and gained back what he lost and then some. Now we’re both trying to eat better and be more active, but the sugar addictions we both have are hard to overcome... Good job on the loss! 😊🎈

I did Nutrisystem and lost weight, but regained. Then tried NutrisystemD which did not work for me. 1 year later, my A1c was measured high/abnormal. I swirched to keto and brought my A1c back to normal. No more processed foods for me!

Thank you for the feedback. I agree with all of you.....I don’t like or want packaged / processed foods either. But I did like this lady’s blog where she posted (seemed like) hundreds of recipes and meal ideas that met the NS requirements. Unfortunately today, I didn’t stick to ANY plan. I went out to eat with a friend at a new restaurant and I had pizza. I only had 2 slices but those 2 slices were loaded. Breakfast and dinner were very minimal so I can only hope it wasn’t as bad as I’m thinking. Anyway, going out to eat is a part of life and I want this to be something I can sustain. I can’t remember who said it but it was something about looking at the bigger picture. If you have too many calories one day then make up for it the next few days by eating a little less. I have to remember that it really isn’t one high calorie meal here and there that is the problem. It is repetitive over-eating that causes the weight gain. The flip side is that consistently under eating will have the opposite effect - losing weight. So I think I have just talked myself out of feeling bad about today! Anyway, thanks for your information about Nutrisystem. I appreciate it!
