Didn't start having a weight problem until my late 30's. After having three kids, then starting to work nights I just seemed to pack it on. I would get determined to lose the weight, then lose the weight, then eventually gain it back plus some. After doing this several times over the years my weight ballooned up to 224 (over 100 lb gain from before this all started). I am hoping this time I can overcome this for good. I know I use food as a soother and so I find fatsecret a big help in keeping track of my daily food consumption. It is so easy for me to overeat without even being fully aware of it.

I am looking forward to a healthier, happier, more active future. There's still so many things out there in this world that I want to experience. Life is good and I aim to enjoy the days.

I must be a lunkhead but I cannot find the Silver Fox challenge. I'm most likely doing something glaringly incorrect but is anyone else having difficulty? Any suggestions would be wonderful.

I think I qualify. 61 and overweight!! Been struggling with this since my 40's doing the lose-gain dance and I need to learn some new dance steps. FatSecret has helped, I've been losing slowly, very slowly with blips here and there but I'm going to keep at it. Would love to join if a group starts up.

List your twelve best "tips" that have worked for you to lose the weight
Really like tip #1. If I can just apply that to 1/2 of what I eat daily I will be so much better off. Thank you.

i ate like a pig all weekend and today!!!
You are not alone. Most of us struggle with this weight thing. Don't be so hard on yourself, you had a bad day... or two. There's always a fresh start today. The prior posts have given you lots of good info and they show you that people care and want you to succeed. So give yourself a break, smile and pat yourself on the back for being strong enough to post your feelings, that alone shows you are not hopeless.
