I'm a 17 year old female in high school who weighed 230 pounds a year ago. I decided I needed to change, so I quit carbs and sugar cold turkey and went full keto and have been ever since. I'm down 65 pounds and couldn't be happier. I've decided to make keto a lifestyle, as it has been nothing but good to me, and I can't even fathom going back to eating bread and sweets everyday. I feel if I did that again it would be disservice to my body by constantly working my pancreas, spiking my insulin, and just making it work harder for no reason.

I feel the SAD (Standard American Diet) is a ridiculous, and it makes me so sad that people are putting so much strain on their bodies with these carbs and sugar, it's unbelievable. I'm only on this earth for so long, and I want to get the most out of my body that I can, rather than ending up with high blood pressure and diabetes when I'm 40, which is the path most Americans choose these days. I want to be here for my kids someday, and be able to play with them.
