I didn't sleep too well last night. I must have overdone it with arm exercises @ the Gym. I try to do low weights, but sometimes it's hard to gage what I can handle if it doesn't hurt while I'm doing it. I had pain in my left arm & finally got up & took some Ibuprofin. I took more today after I got up & it seems to have helped. Hubby had to get up early to take Teddy to the vet & I woke up then, too. I fell back asleep & slept til about 10:30.
I was not feeling too energetic when I got up, so I lingered over coffee & had a late breakfast. I threw a load of laundry in & eventually felt like getting outside for the task I had planned for the day.
I got my gardening gloves & various clippers to prune the bushes at the top of our drive. When I got started, I seemed to get a burst of energy & clipped, nipped & cut away. Hubby brought the wheelbarrow & rake up for me so I could clean up all the little clipped branches. I was doing fine til I started back to the house with the wheelbarrow & tools. Our drive is long & steep...up & down. It was all I could do to get the last few feet 😬 I stripped off my clothes & had a nice hot shower....then a bowl of cereal. I wanted to sit & that was easy.
I'm counting the yardwork as a workout. Climbing on a stone wall to reach the top of the bushes, squatting & bending to cut some lower bushes...then again to rake & pick up the clippings & haul them into the woods....yep...a workout.
I thought I had 1 more therapy session scheduled & realized on Sunday I'd gone to all my scheduled appts. I called today & was able to get one for Friday. Ray is supposed to reevaluate & update my at home therapy exercises.
Planning to go to the Gym tomorrow. When I did my workout at home on Monday, I put on a pair of workout shorts I bought when I first started at the Gym in July. The waist was REALLY loose. They were never tight but they fit 8 months ago. Oh, & Hubby took a look at my butt in the pants I was wearing today (a pair of pullon knit athletic pants) & said Don't lose any more weight. Of course, I knew they fit big when I got dressed to work outside.
Off to bed....hopefully a better night's sleep tonight.
