It appears my "Winter weight" may be closer to 145 than 142. I have tried to be more consistent with what I'm eating, but I seem to be topping 2000 calories more often than I probably should. Its not like I'm eating huge amounts of food at any given time but my desire to eat "something" has occurred more often. I also haven't been getting a lot of exercise...even walking. Between the weather, being without power for a couple of days & a sick dog I haven't had the motivation.
Our Lucy was scheduled for a tooth cleaning today. The Vet put her on antibiotics 2 weeks ago. Friday night she refused to eat her dinner. We knew something was up....she never refuses a meal! Hubby took her to the Vet Sat. & they said they thought the antibiotics had upset her stomach. We stopped giving it to her but she still hasn't wanted to eat all weekend. I finally tried a scrambled egg last night. She ate a couple of bites but wouldn't finish it. She's at the Vet today. Now they're saying she may have pain from a bad tooth. They were going to exray her before the procedure to insure nothing else is causing her apparent nausea.
I worked on getting the Christmas decorations down & packed up the past few days. I still have to get them stored in the attic & the big tree needs to be disassembled & packed up. The box it's stored in is in our "basement" storage area & since it was raining all day yesterday I chose to wait another day.
I met my sister for lunch Friday. She got Covid during the Holidays, but is doing OK, except for a lingering cough that hits her sporadically.
Yesterday, I decided to start reading a book I got at the library & got really into it. I ended up reading all afternoon & til late last night. I had been reading the Book Club selection & wasn't really enjoying it. I can't decide if I want to try to finish it or move on. I've read 49 of 227 pages over the course of several days. On the other hand I read 139 pages yesterday of the other book & only stopped last night because it was after 2 AM.
Hubby laid back down after he got back from the Vet today, dropping Lucy. He woke up around 4 AM & didn't sleep well after. I haven't made breakfast...just coffee but I'm getting hungry so I think I may fix something for myself.
Not sure what dinner will be. Hubby is supposed to be out for a couple of hours & I'm on my own.
