In 2018 it took me 6 months to lose 8 lbs, from 132 to 124. At least today I am back to the day before yesterday's weight. Of course, the lower I go the slower the weight loss will be. A month ago I made a goal of 130 by Valentine's Day not specifying ounces, then later saw it was just possible I could go down to 128.5 if I kept losing at the same rate. I was 129.8 for a couple of days, but since I went back up I will never make it. My body is mostly fat, with little muscle, and crepe paper thin bones. At 5' tall and small-boned my RDI is 1200 calories a day, so 1000 calories isn't unreasonable if I'm dieting, especially if it is high in vegetables and protein. Most people should not eat less than 1200 but I am small but with 3 leaky valves, I need all the heart muscle I still have and am pleased to make my original goal. We went to a doctor's appointment for my husband yesterday, then lab work and an x-ray of his hurting hip. He wanted to go for a late lunch to a bar-b-que place, and we shared a salad and a ginormous sandwich with 3 kinds of meat. I only had 3 or 4 little bites of bread and filled up on salad and meat which was spicier than expected. It was very heavy on my stomach so neither of us ate any dinner or anything else. Some have expressed I need protein, and I agree. Usually, I eat a lot of protein, more than recommended for Keto. In 2018 when I scared myself driving with a feeling of "mushy brain", I tried to go Keto and Intermittent Fasting. I never achieved strict Keto because of too much protein but I believe the IF helps my brain, so I plan to continue with that, mostly 16/8 with an 8-hour eating window. I need my brain to stay independent. Thank you, Lord, you help and support me, holding me in your hand.
