Our last day in California we drove a bit further out than we had and saw how very pretty the mountains were. Most of the time is was so hazy we had a hard time seeing them clearly. They are impressive. Have you always lived in Nevada?

YOH, I like the desert for its unusual beauty but no I didn't grow up here. I grew up in Germany. My mother is German. My teenage life was in Southern Calif. Then I moved to Nevada when my 1st husband was transferred there. Stayed here because it was so much cheaper to live and I had a small child to care for . Met Joe 36 years ago( after my divorce) and the rest is history. 🩷🩷🩷

What part of Germany are you from? Ive been to Munich and it was so gorgeous and so much fun. Did you know they have a nudist available park there? I wanted to go but my then 18 year old daughter was mortified😂 and vetoed that. My last name is very very German but thats about as much as i know about Germany outside of our trip way back when. I forget, you are tall like me i think? Germany was the only country I’ve ever been to where i felt like a normal sized woman and not like i was the tallest chick in the room. It was such a surreal feeling. Back then i was just short of 5’10. Now im a solid 5’9.

YOH, I'm from a town called Leingarten. My mother was raised in Heilbronn, both are near Stuttgart..It was an amazing place to grow up in! Munich is a day trip away from where we were. I am not really talking. 5'7" as an adult but now I've apparently lost an inch and I'm 5'6". My sister is 5'9" though and my brother is over 6 foot. You are right about the women there, they are tall for sure!🩷🩷

YOH & Diana - I hate that we all lost an inch! I say I am 5'9" because that is my height but not the last few years! LOL So I have a question - do you look at the BMI charts with your real height or your shrinking height. Why does this happen when we are working out. I was hoping lat pull downs would stretch me back out.

I use my real height. I lost almost an inch. When i got my new hip i gained 1/2” back. Surgeon asked do i want to be taller or shorter. I said taller. I guess i got used to my height somewhere along the way. But for bmi use the actual height for more accurate numbers.

I think it is the discs between the vertebra that flatten out or shrink as well as muscle loss. This causes us to be shorter.

YOU, hahaha..just noticed that about "talking" I swear autocorrect is going to do me in...One time I commented on someone's post that it was nice. It came out that it said not nice. I was mortified as I didn't catch it till later...🫣😬
