My name is megan and i am new to fat secret! I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy 7 & 1/2 months ago. Before pregnancy, I weighed 135 lbs...and by the day I had my son I was up to 177 lbs. In one month after I had him, I lost 23 lbs. Within two months, I had gained all of this weight back. I had a thyroid problem, which is common during postpartum stages. I lost a lot of weight really fast and then gained a lot really fast. This thyroid problem also caused me to have a lot of issues with my depression. I also became very self conscious about my weight since i have never had an issue with it before. I have always been a very active person, and always enjoyed physical activity. After having my son and still to today, I have health issues that prevent me from being able to do certain exercises like running, jogging, pretty much any cardio activity. A little over a month ago, I went to my doctor and asked her if there was anything I could do to jump start my metabolism to help me start loosing weight, because nothing i was doing was helping...not even P90X. She prescribed me a diet medication called phentermine to help me get back on the right track to my goal weight. Since March 13 I have gone from 173 lbs to 155 lbs and am still working hard to loose. I exercise daily, drink lots of water, eat healthier, and take the medicine to help me. I hope to get down to 140lbs very soon, that would be such an awesome achievement for me. I would be content at that weight. =)
