Know the feeling and water is great option.
For me, depends on time of day...Night=I force myself to go to bed...Day=Excercise, go for a walk, clean, anything to distract or take my mind off eating.
Salt free almonds or low cal popcorn gets me through a hard time.

I exercise and drink water. It takes your mind off stuff. I have a great saying that I love. "Pain will go away but giving up will last forever" I say it to myself a lot.

Usually I just get on this site and remind myself of how much support I have. Read some journas
ls, review my progress to date and remind myself of how far ive come. The less you give in the further away those cravings go.

It can sometimes mean a vitamin deficiency. Pay attention to what you want to eat, cause that's the closest thing your brain knows to achieving that vitamin.

I take a multi-vitamin. Plus B-complex, and vitamin D, magnesium and potassium. So I do not think its vitamin related.

Deborah, I eat on baby carrots. You can dip them in Ranch dressing. Walden Farms makes a delicious calorie free, carb free Ranch. Also I like celery stuffed with cream cheese. You need something that you can chew and not swallow down quickly. The chewing is satisfying and it takes long enough to eat these snacks that your mind believes your stomach is full. PS you have quite a following! Even Sharon Osborn chats with you.

Ooh I like diehard's suggestions! Never thought of cream cheese with celery. Like the crunch/chew factor. But just had myself, in order to satisfy chocolate craving, a dark chocolate jello pudding cup and added a teaspoon of fat free cool whip to make it seem more decadent. Got in some protein. But diehard has better ideas for adding veggies if you're just thinking you want to eat. May fill you up a bit more. My suggestion is more to conquer a chocolate craving

Thanks for all the suggestions. They help open my options. :) Kathy, I was shocked Sharon was conversing with me, was neat to say the least.

My problem is, I would start with the celery sticks and then keep going! I just have to get out of the kitchen or house. Exercise helps or anything the absorbs all of your attention. Sometimes I go try on my clothes--the ones that don't fit!!!! then I am motivaited again

LOL Dreaminart, LOVE IT! I'll have to try that, the trying on of clothes. I have a whole mess of them!
