Following up from yesterday's saga: No, I do not have sugar or carb cravings today after the ONE bite of cake yesterday.
New interesting thing: I had a high carb (69%)and low fat day (10%), followed by a higher fat (28%) and lower carb day (40%), now followed by a moderate day - and weighed in at my new low this morning!
So, did my little "experiment" with carb cycling and even sometimes calorie cycling prove itself effective?
Hmmm - not sure yet, but might try it again to see what might work - or even wait until Thanksgiving week when there will be carbs galore in stuffing, potatoes, and corn casserole!
I will keep you informed about the new "experiment" and see how the Idiot Box responds!

That's awesome, HCB. I don't know if cycling helps me or not. I have been terrible with RDI the past two weeks, I am trying to get it back under control now that I feel up to logging and being strict with myself. You seem to have this whole thing figured out better than I do most of the time.

That's great news! I have heard that calorie cycling works but never gave it serious thought. But because you mentioned it I am paying more attention to the amounts of carbs/fat/protein I am eating and I hope that will help me.

I'm laughing because your carb cycling days seem to come by accident - just like my spike days!

Thanks for the feedback on that, it's all a big experiment, isn't it? I think staying cognitive of what we are doing, paying attention to the results, and adjusting as necessary is necessary for success. I think I'm becoming a bit obsessive, but oh well :-)
