As many of you know, I'm eating high carb, low protein on purpose because of my kidneys. I don't have kidney failure yet, but I'm right on the edge and I want to make sure I don't fall over. At the end of the day, I sometimes don't make that ideal 10%-15% we are actually supposed to be getting. (Most Western diets are WAY to high in protein.) I've found a solution without adding calories. Swanson's, fat free, low sodium broth. Not only that, but if I have it at bedtime, it fills me up and makes me sleepy.
My adopted daughter, the special needs one, is FINALLY getting all of her stuff out of my garage. She and her X-boyfriend were packing all day and my DIL is coming with her stock trailer and big truck to get it all into may daughter's storage. That's not an earthquake you feel. That's me doing my happy dance. I've been trying to get them to do this for over two years. I will FINALLY have my Studio back and can move the big looms and spinning wheels out of the main part of the house. Yay!
Everyone have a great evening. I'm going to go have dinner, climb into my snuggy-warms and fall into bed!

Bren, I use the broth to make my rice, quinoa, soups, stews, etc. It just never occurred to me to just DRINK it to get the little bit of extra protein I needed without calories. Don't you love having an inviolate space to work in? You can put something down and know it will be right where you left it when you come back. You can decorate it to inspire. You can arrange it to suit your needs. I love your paintings and know what that kind of space means to an artist. You have a great Saturday too and stay warm! I'm accepting your hugs and returning them with love.
