Hi Nikina. Not serious, no, thanks. It's weird though cause it coincides with us being allowed to take our masks off.

Thanks, Addison. I have written this week off. Just doing the minimum. A bit of work and walking the dog. Everything else can wait.

Hope you get well soon and can ease yourself back into your program. Can I ask please, what's a "cardio week"? Are you dividing your training into blocks? Or is there more to it? I struggle to balance cardio and resistance training days and confuse myself. Thanks :)

You are doing your best under trying circumstances, Chesty!!

How to explain 'cardio week' without sounding like a madwoman!! I normally do 3 days cardio based and 2 days resistance based training per week. But every now and again I challenge myself to 'cardio week' ie 1 hour of solid cardio 5 days a week (used to be 90 mins but that really is too much for me now!!) It is more a mental challenge and it breaks up the training regime nicely.

I have a training calendar, Bearwood, which I fill in a week in advance and adjust as I go. That helps me avoid confusion! Its pretty basic but works a treat. There is a pic somewhere in my journal.

Thanks Anne. I think I get it now. You sound very organised. I used to keep cardio and resistance completely separate; but now I've committed heresy by cycling to the gym.

I am not after the big gains in the gym...just maintaining what I have got so I am quite happy to do cardio and resistance. It all depends what your goals are.
