Spinach in beef broth . . . not wedding soup, but not horrible either, and filling.

Glad to see you're still here too! There are so many people I started following back in 2010-2011 who haven't been here in years, so you may be the last original one of my FS friends. I'm feeling more committed to sticking with it this time because I promised my daughter I would. It seems harder this time as I'm older and my hormones are gone (hysterectomy). It took me a long time to get this fat, so I have to realize it will take me a while to lose it too. How are things with you?

About the same. It’s harder each time. I originally lost 70 lbs. I regained 30. The good thing is, thanks to Fat Secret, I didn’t regain the full 70 lbs + another 20 lbs, as I used to do. I miss so many of our old friends. I’m in contact with a few of them on Facebook. I’m going to try to stick with it this time, as well. I turned 75 in June and I don’t want to be completely immobile, which is slowly happening. Onward, my friend! 💖

Yes, nice to see you here. Seems like the battle never ends. Gotta keep trying to have better health. I'm 71 so I do hear where you are at. (((((hugs)))))

Cocobutt It is harder to lose weight as we get older, not your imagination.
The basal metabolic rate (BMR) falls even more than would be expected with only a reduction in muscle mass. How/why this happens has yet to be elucidated.

Jo, I'm glad you're committed to sticking with it too!! Getting back on the wagon was the hardest part. Once we get momentum and ingrain better habits, it will be easier.
