Freshly baked fruitcake sounds delicious.

Micky has been enjoying the Mrs MacKinnon's Christmas fruitcake I made for him and our neighbor, too. I usually make it Christmas but Thanksgiving seemed a better time. We have so many other things going on at Christmas ... but, if he still wants it, I will bake him another one.

Denise must have extremely strong biceps to mix up more than one fruitcake. :)

I used my kitchenaid stand mixer to mix mine. I could never have mixed it without that wonderful piece of equipment. If you guys don't have one yet, it would be a great Christmas present. 😁

I got one as a retirement gift to myself. LOL! I don't use it a lot, but when I do, I almost could cry at how easy it makes everything. I also got the sausage attachment (a Christmas gift) so I could make my own sausage. It's quite easy to do.

Please tell Denise I'm impressed with her determination.

@Mom2Boxers I've wanted a Kitchenaid for years, but don't have the counter space to leave it sitting out. I'm very envious of people who own a Kitchenaid mixer. I have a traditional standing mixer that I keep in a cabinet.

I am fortunate that this house has a lot of counter space. I don't like to leave a lot of things out, but as I look around ... I do anyway. Ha Ha! Byt the way, if anyone is interested ... the KitchenAid mixers are on sale. Mine is the Artisan with the glass bowl. I love the glass bowl feature. https://www.kitchenaid.com /countertop-appliances /stand-mixers /see-all.h tml?cmp=kad:decwk1prom:ocm:email:btn:na:na:btn1
