Hello everyone!

I'm usually pretty great about knowing what foods not to eat and what foods claim to be "induction friendly" but really aren't...however..I'm completely baffled by Kim's Magic Pop. They are basically like...huge rice cakes...but not...kind of like a styrofoamy consistency that come in different flavors. Basically like if you're craving grains or something breadlike and are getting a little tired of oopsie rolls. The nutrional breakdown is as follows:

Calories 15 Sodium 15 mg
Total Fat 0 g Potassium 0 mg
Saturated 0 g Total Carbs 4 g
Polyunsaturated 0 g Dietary Fiber 0 g
Monounsaturated 0 g Sugars 0 g
Trans 0 g Protein 0 g
Cholesterol 0 mg
Vitamin A 0% Calcium 0%
Vitamin c 0% Iron 0%

The ingredients are: Unbleached Wheat Flour, Tapioca Starch, White Corn Flour, Water, Soy Lecithin, Rice Powder, Rice Flour, Long Grain Parboiled Brown Rice, Salt, Soy Bean Oil, Natural Flavor, Stevia (Natural Sweetener)

So..my question is...Has anyone tried it on induction? Is it REALLY induction friendly?? I'm quite curious.

I have not tried these but my first impression is that they're nothing I would eat.

They are low calorie, but that's it. Look at those ingredients.....flour, starch, flour, powder, flour, rice, etc......carb upon carb upon carb. Sure, you get "only" 4 carbs per serving, but in Induction, there's so little wiggle room, why waste 20% of your daily allowable carbs on a filler food? No fiber is indicated, so you don't even get a little benefit in that area.

JMHO, but I'd pass.

I have to agree with Sandy. That contains nothing of nutritional value IMO. I'd pass, as well.

It's not only the amount of carbs you eat that matter, but what KIND of carbs you eat. Those things would set off major cravings and blood sugar craziness in me...

Ginger, Induction isn't a diabetic term...it's the beginning stage of the Atkins diet/way of eating.

I must run, so no time to explain. Sad If you go to "atkins.com" (without the quotes) you can look it up there--explains it in detail better than we could, heh.

I'm diabetic also...being on Atkins helps me to control it and to reduce my medication over time.
