Hello,

I'm new on here, but thought someone out there might have some answers for my situation. I currently weight about 213lbs. I have already lost about 20lbs since June, but for the last couple of months I keep bouncing between 212-215lbs. I am recording everything i put into my mouth on my fatsecret phone app and I am exercising a min. of 5 days a week for 35-60 minutes a day. I am keeping my calories per day around 1500 but even on a bad day, in the recent past (4 weeks) i haven't ever had a day over 1800 calories. (and this would only be 2 days out of the last 4 weeks). What am I doing wrong?! I am also trying to drink a lot of water. Do I just have to keep being consistant and let my body catch up or is there something I'm missing?

Thanks for any help!

Hi Jade,

Since I cannot see what you are eating even though you are following calories maye your carb counts are way too high. You would have to share your diet diaries for people to see in order to help you.

Good Luck

Counting 24/7? Don't listen to charmy, carbs would not make a difference in a calorie deficit.....

I agree with Charmy98. It would help a great deal if you made your food log public. Some us that actually care can take a look and offer some solid advice.

Try eating smaller meals but more regular instead of massive meals. Normally people eat 3 meals - breakfast lunch dinner. So instead eat 5 smaller meals.

Then also don't starve yourself. Eat less calories than you burn off. I know these are all simple things but are you conscious of them?

You're exercising a lot. Is the exercise active enough. Are you running? Or are you just peddling slowly on a bike?

A fast run for 20 minutes is better than a 60 minute jog. Running burns more calories.

My Current Stats
- Current Weight: 76kg
- Goal Weight: 65kg
- Fitness Regime: 10-30 minute run 2 times per week
- Wing Chun 2 times per week
- Insanity Workout -
- Diet Regime: 5 small meals per day instead of 3 bigger meals
- Diet Supplement: I found this I might try out. http://puregreencoffeebeanextractreviews.blogspot.com
- Drink 10 glasses water per day
- Any feedback let me know.

Size of meals and meal frequency are irrelevant, her preferences on that subject are, however.

Unless you're sprinting for a full 20 minutes, you would not burn more calories than a 5mph jog for an hour.

Example for my bodyweight.
Running (jogging) - 5/mph 1 hour 673kcal
Running - 8/mph 20 minutes 378kcal

Keeping up 8mph for 20 minutes would be difficult for anyone who is not in great shape. Even then, the burn is 300 calories less.

How do we add emoticons in our post? I see hearts and other cute things! Other than the ones below !
I wish I knew the answer. I'm also wondering how people add emoticons to comments on journal entries. I don't see that option.
