I'd like ideas on how to add more fat to Adkins to get my daily total to 65%. I'm already using oil on salads. Thanks

Im so glad we can eat avocado on Atkins. I LOVE them. I make avocado with mayo and garlic to make as a dip with my pork rinds.

The guacamole and pork rinds snack is a good combo. But...avocados are high in carbs from what I've seen unless you count the net carbs only but a lot of people don't do the "net" thing. I AM!! LOL...otherwise I would be over the limit by a few grams. Smile

I count net carbs and love avocados! My hubby bought me BBQ pork rinds yesterday, and they are addicting. Crunch, crunch, crunch

There are many kinds of oils. Adding unhealthy oils isn't going to help your health or help you lose weight. How is your general health and how old are you? You might look at some healthy fat web sites, such as

and

All the best,

I am on Adkins, and have a question... for those on Adkins with me, what are your typical Carbs/Fat/Protien percentages? And how many calories to you stick to?

Definitely eat avocados! And for sure you only need to count net carbs. In the UK foods are always listed with the fibre already deducted.

Try some coconut oil, its full of wonderful health benefits and you can eat it off a spoon as well as adding it to lovely recipes. I second the "your lighter side" recommendation, its a wonderful site with great recipes.
