Ok, I need creative ideas! I am eating a diet that is man-made sugar & artificial sweetener free (basically only sugar from fruits), flour and gluten free, 97% of the time. This means that very occasionally I will have a treat like a little dark chocolate (85% cocoa) or a serving of pasta. Because I love spaghetti and have an awesome sugar-free recipe for homemade sauce, I'd like to find alternatives to the pasta. That way I can enjoy the sauce more often without always also indulging in the pasta. I am not looking for "fake" noodles, but real food alternatives to noodles that will still be tasty good! OK..hit me with your ideas! Thanks!! http://www.fitinfaith.wordpress.com

I too love pasta sauce! Mmmm on everything too. Spaghetti squash is the obvious choice here. It's also good on zucchini, eggplant, chicken, and probably everything else. I would try it on some of your favorite veggies or meats and see what you end up enjoying. I know I used to just put it on top of roasted zucchini and loved it. Cooked sausage (turkey or pork) would be delicious with a side of pasta sauce. Grilled mushrooms are a perfect vessel for any flavor as well.

ohh, I like the french green beans idea and zucchini would probably be good too. I wasn't fond of spaghetti squash in the past, but perhaps it's time I give it another chance. I don't eat mushrooms and the sauce already has meat in it, extra lean ground beef. Maybe brown rice and vegies would be good. http://www.fitinfaith.wordpress.com

I absolutely love making pizza burgers! Use fat free mozzarella cheese, a boca burger, and any sauce you'd like. It's delicious!!

swap out the extra lean ground beef with ground turkey and you can take your love affair with your pasta sauce even further. i'd suggest using it with cauliflower like this --> http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/lowcarbsidedishes/r/caulirice.htm

I'm also gluten, egg, dairy, and processed sugar free. So, we have a lot of the same food limitations. I eat usually quinoa pasta because I love it ever so much, but I'll use those miracled noodles sometimes. ============================================ 155: After regaining 16 pounds. You can use it as a sauce on healthy "pizza" like portabella mushrooms or gluten free tortillas, top with other vegetables and cheese. Or freeze it in small portions so you always have some ready when you don't have time to cook a new batch. "Think you can, think you can't; either way, you'll be right."-Henry Ford

Or make it thinner and eat it as soup. "Think you can, think you can't; either way, you'll be right."-Henry Ford

Try some stuffed cabbage rolls, or bell peppers, since you are using quinoa as part of the filler, this should be a natural match with your tomato sauce. This is the recipe I use. I do not include the mushrooms and I make sure the canned tomato sauce, paste and diced tomatoes contain no added sugar. Read labels carefully. Oh and I use extra lean 96% ground beef, but you could use turkey if you like that. http://www.food.com/recipe/bevs-spaghetti-sauce-26217http://www.fitinfaith.wordpress.com
