I don't understand the question but I shoot for 1g of protein per lb. of lean bodyweight, .8 of a gram of fat, and whatever you want after meeting those goals.
Consume whatever foods you prefer, whenever you prefer to consume them, while ensuring nutrient sufficiency and meeting caloric goals.

I don't think it is - but I would love this as well... am now working on a percentage of calories consumed basis - have worked out a precise range of carbs, proteins and fats etc, but just have to use my own spreadsheet for it >< Would be helpful to have the option here.

Try this:

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/macronutrients_calculator.htm

It will give you a range you can try out. You'll have to adjust depending on your goals.

That's the point.
I know exactly how many macros I need to consume, but fatsecret does not let you set a goal for them, like other applications do (for example MyFitnessPal)
The other issue with fatsecret, is that it doesn't work offline Sad

So you can't set the macros with fat secret? I just joined and can't find it.

I've just registered, but I think I'm opting out. I'm looking for something that lets me define macros requirements, but can't find the option here.

You can from the mobile app, from the side bar, tap [Reports], you should see a page showing [calories], [macros] and [nutrients].

Now, tap the top right button which looks like a [bulls eye] icon, it should bring you to [My Goals] page, on this page you can set your Macro's by % or by grams

Thank you Mrhuat!!! I was ready to cancel this app and find something else due to not being able to specify my macros. Seems like it should be a simple thing for the developers to include this in the web version. =/

This should be much easier to find. It's such a handy tool for folks doing targeted diets. Thanks to MrHaut
