During mid afternoon I get so hungry! Fruit, nuts, bars...they are just not satisfying my hunger. It's like my body wants to have dinner at 4pm! Anyone has any suggestion?

You seem to have a lot of sugar in your diet. It may be playing games with your blood sugar and making you hungry. Try replacing those calories with something more substantial.

Start your day off with protein & make sure you're eating substantial (I'd say 20g or more) protein at lunch also. Then you won't be ravenous at 4 pm. Hoser is right, limiting the sugars & replacing them with protein &/or complex carbs will tame those cravings.

I agree with Kat...(she's a pro).... The more protein in my meals the longer I go without being hungry... Every morning I have an eggwhite omelette with some type of cheese at about 930 am and am usually not hungry till after 1 pm...

I've got exactly the same problem. I try to keep my mid-morning snack to eat in the afternoon. Also drinking plenty of water in the afternoon helps. If I am really hungry by 4pm I would start making dinner and maybe have a cup of clear veg broth later.

I have eaten dinner many times at 4pm, i go to work a few nights a weeks at 4:15 or the kids sporting events start early but go to long to wait. We are relatively young still, 42, but have been dinning the "early bird special" time for years. I don't usually need a snack after i have eaten a good meal early with the protein as suggested. My only other thought if your diet permits is have a protein snack or drink at that time, if making an early dinner is not going to work for you. Good Luck
