Kimmer, I answered you in your journal....I don't think that this is a true gain....I think it is fluid retention from the fast food. Hang in there girlfriend. Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. ~Marcel Proust~

Ah, yes, the Lord above....He is awesome and can provide all the support we need if we but let Him! Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. ~Marcel Proust~

Hey Kimmeranne...I just kind of did the same thing. There's no excuse for it, since we know what we're doing while we're doing it, but I guess you just kind of have to kick yourself in the butt and try not to go overboard again It's hard not to feel bad about it, but you'll feel so much better if you get right back to doing what you're supposed to be doing. Cobby, you are right. It is not the stumble that defines us, but what we do when we stumble...do we continue eating those things that we know will make us feel bad and hinder our quest for health, or do we say, oops, major mistake, gotta dust myself off and get at it again and try harder this time. We are human beings and we will make some mistakes in our food choices. That doesn't mean we are bad or stupid or cheaters..it simply means that we slipped, we are still learning, and along the way we will make mistakes. And if we understand that every single second is a chance to start over, then that slip is only a momentary happening. Have a great weekend! First... you have more than likely gained nearly 5 pounds of WATER. So back on track, drink tons of water, eat properly and you will notice a loss very soon (and possibly very quickly). Second... next time you go out plan what you are eating a head. When I go out with my family I always make them pick the place BEFORE they pick me up or I meet them, that way there is no surprises and I am able to plan around that meal. Third... This lifestyle is about learning. Take this experience and ask yourself "Did I learn anything about this?" if the answer is yes, awesome. What is it? and will you do this again? Probably not because seeing that number go up on the scale is demoralizing and it friggen hurts. Fourth... Stop beating yourself up about it and move on. Crap happens, deal with it and move on. Good luck!
You say you want a cheeseburger but all I hear is "I need love" - a comic strip on the fridge at work. You have failed only when you quit trying. Until then, you're still in the act of progression. So, never quit trying and you'll never be a failure. My Blog http://pixpocketlint.wordpress.com/
