Hi All, when measuring amounts of vegetables eaten, do you measure it precooked or after cooking. Ex I made sauted cabbage with bacon and onions and garlic (YUM!). So is it 1 cup before I cooked it or after cooking measurement?

You can measure before or after but the calorie count will differ. If you check the calorie listings, you'll see that often there are two different listings -- one for cooked and one for raw. So what it comes down to is that you have to research for cooked vs. raw calorie counts.

That's kinda strange, I made the exact same thing tonight! My polish grandpa used to make it all the time.

Online in atkins it says to measure after cooking from their printable list i have for phase 1. When logging into my food chart i try my best to find a listing for a cooked item if i cooked it. numbers do change between cooked and uncooked.
