Anybody else think intercourse should be in the exercise list? Smile Doesn't that burn a ton of calories? But then again, maybe people don't want everybody knowing they just had sex... But still! If we use "Sitting" and "Driving" to tally calories burned for the day, I think intercourse should be an option too. Just a thought...

How do I suggest it to the people of FS?

It even distinguishes between foreplay and intercourse. The estimates are probably not entirely accurate though, it really depends on what you're... doing.

You'll notice though, that it does not actually burn that many calories. If I put in 30 full, uninterrupted minutes of intercourse for me (which, let's face it, would be a pretty incredible feat), I barely break 100.

Still, if you want to put it in, you can.
If you think my post is too abrasive, harsh, or offensive, you're:
A) Wrong.
B) Too sensitive.
C) Not going to receive an apology for pointing it out.

Well, I think my boyfriend is getting the better workout, but that's good because he needs to do some cardio to balance out all that strength training Smile It would be pretty funny to look at someone's exercise calendar and see "intercourse-20 min, fellatio-10 min, foreplay- 15 min, etc.

I was using a different site for a couple of weeks before this one, and they did have it in the list! Must have been using the same stats as the link above, since it was broken down the same way.

I think it's a great way to work a little cardio into the routine - and lucky for me, my hubby's finally home after three months offshore! I've already lost three pounds Smile

I really think it depends on what you are doing...any extra effort then normally will probably make a difference. Even if it doesn't burn a lot of calories in the process, your body will continue to burn calories because of the activity. A few simple changes can actually change the way you work and use muscles you don't normally do.

1. Get on top, many women in particular are very comfortable with men on top exerting energy, but you will burn so many more calories if you climb on top and take charge.

2. Change the position, if you change the positions throughout the act then you will be using different muscles to stay balanced.

3. Spend more time on foreplay, by spending more time on foreplay, you can actually extend the time of sex. The sexual experience will be more rewarding and you will also spend more time not eating!

Sex in its pure form is a form of exercise, it should be practiced just like running. Sometimes I wish there was a c25k program for sex Smile But basically with extra effort put into your life, you will see different strength in parts of your body that you didn't have before. The more you open your mind to different experiences besides the vanilla flavor, you will be gaining stamina you didn't know you had.

And I agree Kanan, variety is the way to go. My hubby and I switch is up all the time. And it is definitely the most fun exercise there is - hands down!
