After being on FS for 6 months, I've seen many reasons why people want to lose weight.

What are the top 3 reasons you want to lose weight (in order of priority)?

2. To be healthy (didn't have any issues before to be worried about though)
3. To be in the family pictures and not look back and say EEWWW! lol

I've never been heavier or less fit than when I started on here. For the sake of my health I want to avoid putting on anymore weight, and get back to something closer to my "healthy" weight.

Plus none of my clothes fitted me, and it's cheaper to fit myself back into them than it is to buy an entire new wardrobe. Heh. I like my clothes!

(I'm happy I look better too, but that's just the icing on the cake. My initial motivation was how difficult it was to do anything, even go for a walk)

Pretty much summed it up to not wanting to die.

After being teased most of my life, and feeling like a fat ugly slob, I wanted to look good. Vain I know, but it is really nice to get some positive attention from ladies as opposed to the ew gross I grew up with.

1. Get a Six Pack
2. Get Chicks
3. Feel great about having a six pack and getting chicks

You may hate my reasons, but I am at a motivation peak right now. I'm determined, and nothing will set me off course. I'm sticking to it because of these reasons.
If you think my post is too abrasive, harsh, or offensive, you're:
A) Wrong.
B) Too sensitive.
C) Not going to receive an apology for pointing it out.

Yeah sorry Jenks I didn't follow directions.

1. Look good

I love your reasons. No need to beat around the bush, everyone wants to look good and have people notice them (in a positive way). People who say that appearence has nothing to do with it are lying to themselves! You go get those girls! ( ;

Mine are:

1. Health
2. Energy
3. Stamina

Appearance is good too, but compared to my top 3, not even close. Obviously I got me a woman or my priorities might be different.

I was feeling old, and exhausted when I attended the NYC 1/2 Marathon, and saw people older than me running. Which made me realize: If they can do this, I can also!

So I decided to return to what worked for me when I was in my 30's. And it does!

I want to lose weight:
1) To be able to run like a gazelle again..( to have more fun in my body).
2) To still be able to turn a few heads...and feel wonderful in my skin.
3) To take care of myself, so that I have the best possible chance of being health, and alive for my family.

And run that 1/2 marathon, when the time is right!!!
Exercise is like meditation. The more you do it, the easier it becomes.

2. Fitness (Someday I want to hike the Appalachian Trail and there is no way I could do it currently)
3. Self-confidence

In reality I could probably list a dozen reasons easily but overall I just want my health to be at a peak during the best years of my life.
Challenges can be stepping stones or stumbling blocks, it's just a matter of how you view them.

I want to be a HOT mom...LOL, no really, I do. I also want to be a good example for my children. My parents NEVER taught me about eating healthy or exercise, so it's important to me to do that. The older I get, the more I realize that we only have ONE body. If we don't take care of it, it won't be a pleasant life. I don't want to live on a pill diet or not be able to move around well when I'm in my 50's and on up. I see my mom now and it makes me sad that she can barely do ANYTHING b/c of her own weight struggles.

1) Live to see my son raise my grandchildren.
