i just walked into my dinning room and saw cosmic brownies on the table. i took a look at the nutrition label-300 calories in that tiny little thing! and who can eat just one cosmic brownie??! i remember i used to eat anywhere from 2-4 in one sitting. no wonder i gained so much weight! no thanks i'll pass when i can have 3 oreo's for half the amount of calories.lol. or what about the $1.00 tostino's pizza's? 360 calories for half! those pizza's were NOT meant to be shared! i can recall many times i ate 2 of them! god somethings make me sick!

anyone else have favorite foods that you knew were bad but not as bad as u later found out?

Claim Jumper and The Cheese Cake Factory. I had no idea they were serving plates over 2000 calories AND pushing dessert. Add in drinks and an appetizer- it could easily be over 5000 calories. HOLY SHIT! I mean, I knew it couldn't be healthy, but now when I look back at the portion sizes, I am simply astounded. My mother taught me to clean my plate because of starving children in Africa or something. And look at what they gave me on my plate! And I ate it. True ignorance.

I won't go anywhere near that kind of restaurant anymore.

On "eat this not that", Cheese Cake Factory is always the worst. They had 3 dishes in the all time worst top 10 meals. I used to love Chili's Honey Chipotle chicken strips. That is until I found out its a days worth of calories in a single meal.

I use to eat cosmic brownies all the time! 2 or 3 at a sitting! till I started reading labels and caring about what goes in my mouth! I thought nothing of eating a jack in the boc ultimate bacon cheeseburger, 2 tacos and french fries! Thats almost as much as I get in two days now! the burger alone is like 1300 calories!? CRAZY!

Hostess Chocolate Pudding Pies. One of my friends at work would sometimes grab these for us for breakfast. They are 520 calories each. They are delicious, but not that good. Smile

I had no idea that there were as many as 1200 calories in a chipotle burrito! I was like "well, everything is so fresh, it can't be that bad!" WRONG. lol

underscore, your best shot at any restaurant is most likely the grilled seafood (with no sauce) or sirloin steak.

here, this might help with fridays.

Everything from Smoothie King/Smoothie Factory/Jamba Juice/etc.

A lot of those 'healthy' fruit shakes are over 1000 calories. Some are over 2000.

I really enjoy this comment. I've often thought similar things-- but hey, maybe you and I could find a third person who'd be willing to share a muffin with us!

Hahaha I agree with ShortCinn, they try to weasel their ways around making something sound healthy when it's soooo not Razz

And no kidding. A THIRD of a muffin. Not even half. A third is like one bite.

If I saw 3 people sharing a muffin I'd think they were all anorexic or something!

OMG Cosmic Brownies - I could eat like 2-3 at a time!! No wonder I gained so much, bleh!!

There are a ton of things in the book I have called "Eat This, Not That Restaurants" - and one thing was the Grilled Shrimp and Spinach Salad at Chili's... Sounds pretty decent right? OVER 1000 CALORIES! I can make it at home for like 200. Sheesh. Makes ya wonder what they do to the food at those places!

SturgeonQueen - you are totally on with that salad comment. It always throws me off when a salad (totally toted as the epitome of healthy eating...) rings in at 800+. Eating out can really be a minefield if you haven't done the research Smile

I used to order some kind of asian salad from California Pizza Kitchen thinking i was being healthy and not eating pizza. Turns out that salad has almost 2000 calories. I'd have been better off eating the pizza... lol
I think the trick to eating healthy at resturaunts is not only knowing the calorie counts but only eating till you're full. That Cajun shrimp alfredo may pack a whopping 1100 calories, but thats for a serving size that could feed three people easily.
Eat only until youre satisfied and you'll save yourself a ton of calories.

Carb face to keto face?
Try some exercise to target the chin, neck, face. It's helped me. Plus I can do it while driving or at my desk in the office. I also work on my posture. Chin up!
