I thought I've been doing ok, but it seems like I eat mainly carbs and fat! even though I stay at the calorie number, how do I get more protien that's not cooking major recipes?

Protein Shakes with Water or Lactose Non-Fat Milk. Tuna in a Can, Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast, Egg Whites, Salmon, Talapia, Turkey (Not Deli Meat), etc. They all give massive amounts of protein. Good Luck.

-add a couple of scoops of protein powder to a smoothie or a smaller amount to yogurt
-quinoa is also a great grain you can try to incorporate. It is a complete protein (contains all the amino acids your body needs)so you could get your carbs and still get the benefit of protein.
- nuts are full of protein but just watch the fat content
