i am waiting to save up enough to order it for my husband and I to work out...It has everything that we both like to do but can do it at our own pace!
I love the workouts they have.
Kudos Rosemdaniel! Let me know how it works out for you.

My wife and I got the whole set, watched 1 DVD and decided 'this is good, we can do this', but then we never got back to it. I'm hoping that someday soon we will give it a go. Bouncing around in front of the TV has just never been my thing though.

Ya know, it's the most invigorating workout I have done in a while. I did the plyometrics and loved it. About halfway through I was ready to call it quits but didn't and i was so glad. I felt really good afterward. Yesterday was arms and shoulders but I was ill and missed so i'm moving on to Core Synergistics tonight.
Anybody try the doubles where you add in the morning cardio? I'm thinking of giving it a whirl. It felt amazing.

My friend bought it and can't do it just yet, so she's letting me borrow it. I've been "starting" for a month. I thought my boyfriend was going to do it with me, but he's not that committed to it, unfortunately. So, yesterday was my Day 1 again and tonight when I get home from work I'm going to do the Plyometrics. I would love to be buddies with you guys doing it and be able to help each other through it.

What type of nutritional plan does the program have you doing to burn fat and build muscle?

Oh, yeah! We can buddy up. I don't do it every day, I do it sporadically and it still works.

The plan is basically complex carbs and lean proteins. There's not a lot of diets for athletes any more that aren't "low carb."

If you like extreme, check out CrossFit. It's also a lot of fun.

That's the food plan.

Wow - thanks. It's great to have some sort of "plan" to follow. I've been pretty much a 'low carber' for some time, but then worry about not getting enough whole grains or good carbs other than salads which I'm pretty addicted to. I'll print it out and try to follow it as much as I can. I do get a lot of variety in exercise, I just don't know if I do enough 'muscle confusion' like I hear about on the infomercial. Thanks!!!

No problem! I just googled "P90X nutrition plan" and it popped up a P90X forum and somebody had posted a link. I just copied and pasted. I don't know how to determine if you're a level 1, 2, or 3, but I would think that if you've been keeping your refined carbs pretty low then a 1 would be the easiest transition. If you're doign P90X then you are definitely getting the right amount of muscle confusion. Do you have a pull up bar? I don't! I want to be able to do 1 pull up. yeahhhhh.

The levels are based on your weight, height and other factors. I don't have my book right now to look it up. But I know I'm a level I and my boyfriend is a II. But males also get more calories, which is basically what the different levels are.

No kidding?

Ya know what I thought was weird? In some of the recipes it calls for 3 scoops of protein powder, right? Then in the nutritional breakdown on the side the meal only has 23g of protein.

I thought it was weird that the protein shakes have so little protein in them.

Huh, I didn't notice that. Interesting. But I read on the Beachbody forum today that a woman's body can only process 26g of protein at a time. Not sure about this.

I use the P90 workouts to supplement when I can't get to the gym or miss a training session and have to workout at home. I highly recommend them to anyone, they really work you if you do the ones with some free weights, ie chest and back, arms etc.

Unfortunately they work me so much I can't do them as well as my normal boxing training on the same day, but like I say are great if you can't make a session.

I just started P90X on Monday, so I've now completed the first three days. I'm actually really liking it, but man am I sore. My abs are killing me -- I had to sort of roll off the couch tonight after watching some TV!

I created a new group called P90X Fitness Program, and encourage anyone else who is using P90X to join it. Here is a link to it:
http://www.fatsecret.com/groups/p90x-fitness-program/Home.aspx

My hope is that we can get a group of P90Xers together for encouragement as well as help each other figure out effective ways to use FatSecret for tracking exercise and nutrition progress.

Hope to see you there!
