An emotional moment

Back in March 12th, 2008 I wrote down 4 goals for myself. They were:

1. By 1 year I want to at least have lost 40 pounds
2. I want to be able to do 20 push ups in a row without stopping
3. I want to be down to a size 10, at least.
4. I want to be able to do 20 sit ups in a row without stopping

A while back I had accomplished 2 out of the 4. I am VERY proud to say that I have accomplished 3 out of the 4! I was walking through my house, getting things done, and checking on my kids, and then I just decided that I would do some sit ups because I was curious to know if I could actually do 20 in a row, and I JUST did! After I did the sit ups, I just laid there on the floor and cried. Those tears weren't tears of sadness, but they were tears of happiness because I accomplished something that I never thought that I'd be able to do when I started my weight loss journey. Back then I could barely do 1 sit up, now I am able to do 20, and it feels great to have accomplished that!

Goal #1: NOT YET Sad I have almost accomplished my first goal of wanting to lose 40 pounds by my 1 year anniversary. If I lose just 3.6 more pounds then I will have accomplished that goal! I'm SO close, but yet so far away. I will try my hardest to reach that 40-pound mark! And when I do then you can bet that I will be yelling it out for the world to hear!


Goal #3: ACCOMPLISHED!!!! I am now able to get into a size 8 pant, but can not yet zip them. Soon I will and I can't wait! But for now I am happy just being able to get into the size 8's!


So, what should my next set of goals be? I would love to hear about what you all think.

Great job Andrea!! I like that you set your goals for a one year....much more realistic!! You still have 3 1/2 weeks until your 1 year anniversary...YOU CAN DO IT! That is only 1 pound a week! Wow!! You ROCK!!! Love ya!!!

Great job on accomplishing 3 of your goals so far! I know that you are determined and will get the 4th goal by the 1 year mark. WAY TO GO!

What an inspiration!!! This is great and even though I dont know you personally,I feel your triumph!! You give us all hope that we can achieve our goals as well. Thanks for sharing!! Good luck on your remaining 3 pound quest!! You GO Girl!! We cant wait to hear when you do it!!

Hi! I am new to this site, and had to let you know that you have TOTALLY inspired me Smile I think it is incredible that you just stopped what you were doing and did those crunches, and I absolutely cannot wait to hear you say that you accomplished all your goals. Hoooooray you!

KICKING BUTT YOU ARE YOU ARE !!! WOW ! A size 8 ! YAY ! I am stoked to be in 14/16s right now, can't even IMAGINE a size 8 ! WHEEEE ! Way to go you ! I think your next goal should be to run a Marathon ! Very Happy YOU COULD ! Smile Nice job on reaching your goals ! BE PROUD !

WAY TO GO!!! Goal setting is awesome. Especially setting just 4 to focus on and then giving yourself time realistically achieve them! Running a marathon, now that would be an interesting one to consider. Maybe you could like into becoming involved in what of the race for the cure type events in your area. A size 8....AWESOME. I haven't been that small since my early 20s. I am happy I was able to put on and zip a size 14 the other day! I am finally off the larger lady rack at the stores and instead are in the upper sized misses Smile

I do not have diabetes or pre (almost, but not quite) --- but yes you can set it with sugar intake and carbs in mind in your settings and it will track that daily when you enter your food.
