I do not know about that. My gut reaction though is that South Beach teaches our bodies to handle the blood sugars and the carbs and teaches our bodies to better metabolize, so Id be concerned that you're still not relying solely on what your body needs to do to get healthy and lose weight and keep it off.
I really don't know, but thats just my gut reaction.

If you want some opinions on Alli, follow the link below to a previous post about it. Other than that, there are lots of opinions online from people who have used it. Personally, I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole!

Alli is a drug that stops your body from absorbing fat. The side effects are not pretty, as that some fat is passed right through your digestive system (so if you were to eat high fat foods, you may need a change of pants). It is a fairly safe drug, no stimulates, no heart worries. People who took the prescription version lost about 50% more on average than the control group. It only worked while you were taking it, and affected no other systems in your body.

All that being said.. If you are eating low fat right now, there really will not be a lot of benefit to you. The pills are expensive. The side effects are pretty controllable and the drug does not carry the same potential side effects of other diet pills (Which I am STRONGLY AGAINST!!).

It is a good option, but definately not the best. It is always better to do it drug free!
