I have a lot of Christmas dinners coming up with work colleagues and my partner's work colleagues. I'm worried that I will be tempted!

If you can, eat something before you go. That way you wont go into it starving, and be tempted by the things you shouldnt have.

But the standard holiday fare often includes things you can have like shrimp, meats, cheese trays, raw veggies, salads. If you're past induction then you can have a glass of wine or pehaps a mixed drink using diet tonic or diet soda. I'm about to come off of induction and have made a deal with myself that there is no acohol unless I've burned that many extra calories that day with exercise. Any holiday gift baskets with no-no's can also be regifted if there are no children to consume them. When you come home from the parties, and have resisted the sweets, then treat yourself to some CarbSmart icecream or a piece or two of sugarfree chocolate.

If you're going to a dinner party try standing up most of the time (besides at the table), such as when you're talking to people. Standing burns more calories than sitting, and that'll help you feel less guilty about carbs that you might accidentally eat (such as those in dressings or sauces).
