Since I started my diet....

I have lost 56 pounds in 10 months!!!

I am looking forward to losing a hundred more and know that I can do it.

I have lost over 20 inches total!

I feel physically so much better.

My arthritis pain is much, much alleviated.

I now have better stamina to stand for ninety minute concerts singing in a Gospel Choir.

I go "swimming" in my old clothes. he he he.

I have received hand me down clothing that I love!

I receive compliments and questions, even from men! WOW

My family & friends are amazed that I am doing this.

I have started exercising again and love it.

I hardly ever have chocolate and am OK with it most days, who would have known?

I eat healthy, mostly un-processed food.

I read food labels and consider the food choices I make. I wonder about all the additives in our foods.

I drink water and tea and hardly anything else....

I no longer need a seat belt extender on planes.

I take better care of myself.

I am learning a new life style and how to deal with life through other means than food.

I am inspiring other people along the way.

What has your weight loss done for you?

Come on share the hope!!!!

Since I started my diet.... (this last time, since September)

I lost 18 lbs. (started at 178 )

I am no longer addicted to carbs.

I have control over what and how much I eat.

I have more energy and a better mood.

I enjoy exercising!

I enjoy shopping for clothes!

I am more comfortable in my skin.

I know that I can do this for my lifetime.

I am confident that I can reach my goal weight.

I am less stressed.

I stopped being angry at myself for the way I let myself slip into an unhealthy weight.

I forgave myself.

I started believing my husband's compliments.

I have learned SOOOOOOO much from my buddies on here.

Thanks everyone!

Love the food that loves you back.

Take it one day at a time!

Tracked everything I ate

Since starting my diet, I've...

Lost 52 lbs in 4 months. And, without being miserable...most of the time Smile

Shed the resigned depression which accompanies shopping in the "plus size" department.

Am able to fit into (and appreciate) the beauty of a size 12.

Truly come to appreciate how well I felt and looked at 170lbs--though I used to feel like my world was caving in at that weight. It really is all so relative!

Have gobs more energy throughout the day -- I can actually make plans and do stuff without feeling exhausted at just the "idea" of getting ready to go.

Encouraged/supporteed 2 good friends to start the program as well. One has lost 33 lbs, the other has lost 15.

Really started to understand and exert some mastery over emotionally driven food behaviors. And, like someone else mentioned, more control and forgiveness for slip ups.

Since starting my diet I've...

- lost 22 pounds in 3.5 months - with (quite) a bit of moaning and groaning, but not as much moaning and groaning as when I wasn't losing weight and getting really down about it.

- exercised regularly and without collapsing in pain or reaching for a bar of chocolate afterwards (yes, I really would eat rubbish straight after doing something which was supposed to make me lose weight - logical huh?)

- stopped having strange pains in my body, especially my knees and back, and wheezing in my sleep.

- got much better skin and muscle tone and stopped getting what my mum calls "pimples" (ugh)!!

- got chatted up by a stranger for the first time in 7 years!

- am no longer morbidly obese, just obese!

- have a lot more cash in the bank - because I stopped eating it all (I was literally spending all my money on buying food and very little else - pretty shameful)

- stopped spending the whole day at work shoving food in my mouth which strangely makes me feel more professional and not like the fat girl doing work experience

- started shopping like a demon - scouring the shops for the smallest sizes I can wear and making a huge deal out of asking shop assistants for those in a loud voice from the changing room

- realised that this is about my long term future and how important it is that I get healthy not only for myself, but for everyone around me who I love

Aah - what a lovely post - I feel all tingly with nice thoughts and positivity now!
Thanks Juno x Wink

This is a great idea bc it makes one think of the POSITIVE not the negative (ie - omg I am not at my goal wt yet!)

1. I am not terrified to look in the mirror when I get out of the shower
2. I FEEL healthier (which says a LOT)
3. I am celebrating even the small wt losses (.5 lb) because the scale is moving in the RIGHT direction
4. My cravings are decreasing
5. My daughter (who does NOT have a wt problem) is eating more fruits and veggies bc I have the fridge stocked with them
6. I have given up coffee completely (and I have NO migraines anymore)
7. I am starting to feel sexy - which is a change at 49 since my hubby (he is 62) left me a year ago after having several affairs
8. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel

Thanks for the support - bc of this website I have decided to go back to work as a therapist - despite my severe health issues. I am feeling better bc of the program and reading your posts.

Thank you to all of you (even those of you that have never heard of me)

I browsed the list of groups today. You can see them all if you are on the website vs. app. I saw quite a few Ketogenic diet groups. I follow the Ketogenic diet but I am not in any groups.
