I try to see who has posted what, and if someone is discouraged and no one or not many people have replied to them, I can see that right on the main page and I can comment to them. This new way it is too easy for someones post to slip right past us, not getting a comment when perhaps they need encouragement or kudos. I am really not digging this.

If I understand you correctly, what you are saying is that in spite of being visible momentarily, the comments will have a tendency to scroll off the page before we get a chance to see them (and they take the posts along as well). Hmmm, maybe they can implement an oldmode/newmode switch to help in transition.

I think that may be a good point, we shall see...

yes, too quickly, then just kind of get lost if youre not really lokking for it. SOmeone needing encouragement might slip right past if we dont know their name or if we arent really paying attention to it.

My question is....do I really need to see every reply my buddies make to others posts, journals, etc ???? I really just want to see when they write in their own journal so I can support them, etc. Its just seems like Im getting alot of extraneous (spelling? LOL) stuff.
Confused

there are filters to filter through all the other stuff, but its much more difficult this way. You can filter to only see weigh ins, journals, posts, etc..then you can even choose, all of SB, your buddies or only you..but I still dont care for it Sad(

I agree with your comment.

Also, it isn't very easy to tell who has posted to threads that we have started. I don't want people to think I'm ignoring their comments.

I'm not sure if I'm going to like that color scale beside my weigh-in entries. It would really bum me out to have it stay in the red! Sad

I want to get in my 2 cents; I hate this format. I hope I have entered it correctly. I guess it will be trial and error........

In order to succeed at weight loss I must be:
determined
consistent
exert will-power
become the person I WANT to be, not the overweight person that I am

I don't know, the site seems a lot more interesting (at first glance). We get to see a lot more (this might make some of us uncomfortable though). It's going to take a while to get used to some of these changes. I'm sure buttons will be added in the future for hiding things and taking out the clutter.

I totally agree about the color scale! And the fact that you have to hit your halfway point before you're considered "Doing well" -- I've lost quite a bit and I consider that DOING WELL but despite 12 weeks of solid effort I'm apparently still too fat to be inducted into the exclusive group. lol.

I worked for Microsoft for a long time and we would always change the software and people would always freak out at first until they saw new features and got used to it. So I guess my threshold for pain is pretty high but I do not fully understand the objective or goal in the format changes as it doesn't seem to have done much but change where the same features are, not really adding new features or benefits. Most web designers or software engineer would prioritize adding enough new whizbang functionality to try to overshadow the annoying changes (where to find stuff that was there before). I'm trying to be patient and look forward the the continued changes.

I thought that was pretty lame also. What if I don't want people knowing that Im a new buddy with Bullytrouble, we all know how much trouble she is. Smile) Just teasing ya bullytrouble, you know I love ya! But yes, I agree with what youre saying. Its a very clustered and scatterd feeling page this way!

Razz Yeah, yeah, I know... quite the name, "bullytrouble" eh... lol. Laughing It's scattered and unorganized. The other layout was easy to see and manipulate.. the only thought I would change, would be having more than the 5 most recent posts on the front page, as we were getting as many as 5 post up in an hour and it would be easy for someone to get missed without a comment back. Doubt Sad

I do NOT like the new charts, they appear flat and are visually unappealing (unless I'm missing the link to the old style charts). Sad
