Girl, You better not take diet pills! Think about it, Do you have problems with being hungry all the time or do you eat mostly because the food is there and/or because you are bored?

Here is a little information for you about diet pills, these symptoms happen a lot more frequently than you think. they also have a nasty habbit of killing you. i lost my best friend to them. Sad Crying or Very sad if you are hungry or have a strong apetite, have a table spoon of peanut butter before bed, that keeps you less hungry in the morning, chew on carrots or celery when you are wanting to eat out of bordem, chew sugar free gum if you are mad, if the cravings get really bad get outside for a bit and away from the fridge. hope this helps.

Side Effects and Dangers of OTC Diet Pills
The side effects and dangers of OTC diet and weight loss pills can vary enormously because many of these pills contain a cocktail of ingredients and because dosage instructions may be inadequate. Possible side effects include: nervousness, tremor, diarrhea, bulging eyes, racing heartbeat, elevated blood pressure even heart failure.

Side Effects and Dangers of Prescription Diet Pills, Drugs
The dangers of prescription diet pills are consistent with other similar drugs. Accidental overdose is a common problem when taking these diet pills. This is because many diet pills contain similar ingredients to non-prescription medications like nasal decongestants.

Side Effects of Diet Pills That Work on the Brain
Diet pill side effects of drugs that operate on the brain to reduce appetite include: raised blood pressure, chest pain, fever, hair loss, depression, impotence, heart damage, to name a few.

Side Effects of Diet Pills That Work in the Gut
The most popular of the 'gut' prescription diet pills is Xenical. Licensed for long-term use, it's side effects include: diarrhea, unexpected fecal discharge and oily stools. To reduce these side effects, Xenical-users are advised to follow a low-fat diet plan.

Are Herbal Diet Pills Any Healthier?
OTC Diet pills with 'Natural', 'Herbal' or similar descriptions are not necessarily any healthier than other diet or weight loss pills. In fact, some of these herbal diet pills are associated with some major health concerns. So don't trust diet pills just because they sound 'natural'.

Do Diet Pills Work?
Yes and No. When used under medical supervision in conjunction with a proper diet and exercise program, diet pills can be effective - at least in the short term. That said, the body adjusts remarkably quickly to many diet pills, so the benefits may quickly wear off.

Diet Pills Are Definitely Not a Magic Solution for Weight Loss
If diet pills are not used in conjunction with a proper weight loss program incorporating proper diet and exercise, they are not likely to be effective. Indeed some pills may even disrupt your system causing weight gain.

Do NOT Buy Diet Pills Without Consulting Your Doctor
If you are a genuine candidate for diet pills - i.e. seriously obese, with a will to modify your diet and take regular physical exercise - I strongly advise you to consult your doctor and ask him to explain what weight loss pills may be suitable. Do not buy diet pills without consulting your doctor.

Consulting Your Doctor About Diet Pills
When talking to your doctor about diet and weight loss pills:

Explain your complete medical history and list all current medications you are taking.
Ask to be medically examined (blood pressure etc.)
Ask for an explanation of all your weight loss options.
Ask for an explanation of all relevant side effects of diet pills suggested.
Arrange a return appointment to see how the diet pills are working.
Taking Diet Pills
If you decide to take any type of diet or weight loss pills, follow these elementary precautions:

Take diet pills exactly as prescribed or directed.
Follow a proper diet and exercise program while taking the pills.
If side effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor.
See your doctor after 30 days to discuss your progress on the pills.
If the diet pills stop working, stop taking them!
Hoping to loose weight and keep it off this time!!

My doctor suggested Hydroxycut to me. It is not a miracle weight loss pill, there is no such thing...but it didn't have any caffeine in it, or make me shaky, it just helped me eat less. With a healthy diet and exercise, yes, hydroxycut works for me...but it only helps, it doesn't make me lose weight...it helps me eat less.

I've actually had great results with Hydroxcut Hardcore, Lipo 6 and Hot Rox...you def have to commit to a sensible diet and exercise plan...unfortunately, it won't just melt the fat off and let you eat what you want

The one time I was stupid enough to try one, I felt awful. My heart raced. I was hot all the time and jittery. I was eating sensibly (I was on the South Beach Diet during that time, not losing weight) and I still didn't lose any weight. Plus when after 4 weeks, I stopped taking them, I gained about 8 lbs. I was scared to try any other ones and you should be too.

It is not worth the side-effects.

Love the food that loves you back.

here is an idea for you too, if you find yourself hungry in the mornings, (only if you are not alergic) have a table spoon of peanut butter before bed, i do this and i'm not famished in the mornings when i wake up.

I have tried them all I think!!lol The only one that didn't make me sick or jitter and cut down my appet. and had more natural healthier mixture was TIGHT. but it mostly just help me maintain. But if your eating cause your bored or upset diet pills wont help you!!!! You need to fight something else like working out when your bored or hitting a punching bag when your upset or mad. IT TRUELY IS THE MIRACLE MOOD CHANGER with no unhealthy side effects unless you think being relieved of stress and looking better "side effect thats unhealthy" lol. If the boredam is coming at work or watching tv try taking up knitting or getting a hand held game. If your hands are busy then you can't grab food and it will keep you busy. or take a walk at work for 10 min to just unwind for a min.
good luck

I've taken a few diet pills in my dieting history - mainly as a quickfix to a problem I created!!! Most of the time I was jittery, sick to my stomach, heart skipped beats constantly through-out the day and I felt light headed... this was all on a very strict diet regime.

I've learned the best and only way to control what you eat is by limiting what type of food you put into your mouth! There IS NO quick-fix to loosing weight... someone once said to me for every pound you gain over a month, expect to try and loose it in a month! Seems pretty decent advise, considering that to loose slowly is better than loosing too quickly!

Lorik, whatever path you choose, do it healthily and take Sweetiepies advice!

I took merdia 10 milgrams and it didn't work to well so I went back to the doc and he gave me 15 mlgrms and it did help with my appetite but the first I had very restless sleep. When I stopped taking them I had the blues for a week or so (sad feelings in the heart for no reason). I have migraines so I didn't want to take too much meds so I gave them up. I did loose weight but it was only because of the stimulant affect and it made me work like crazy house cleaning and what not just not sitting around..I also had like the chills or my skin sort of got the chills now and then with a crawly feeling I think it was just the stimulate affect on me though. I think I lost 50 lbs that time. I have also used Xenical as a tool with help on the atkins diet but not regualar enough it was too expensive at the time and insurance didn't cover it.

I have been taking LeanSystem7 for about two weeks. I did a lot of research before deciding to try it. It gives me energy to get through the day with no side effects. I have no jitters, no mood swings, or trouble sleeping at night. I take two capsules in the morning with breakfast. Here's a website that has done a lot of research on diet pills.

I took Fen Phen when it first came out and I was about 24 years old. I had started highly limiting my calories and running and lost about 15 lbs on my own, but then went to my doctor to see if I could get this prescribed as a boost. She did, and I took them and I went on to lose 70 lbs in 4 months. I ate very little, and ran 3-6 miles a day in the Arizona heat (often well over 90 degrees) so I'm sure the exercise was a help. Then the drug police yanked Fen Phen and I was PISSED. But I found a loophole a couple years later -- that is -- you can still buy PHENTERMINE or PONDIMIN (seperately). Phentermine is the "mood" enhancing component that sort of makes you feel upbeat, pleasant, and happy to exercise. Pondimin is the appetite suppressant. Many people found that one or the other was more powerful for them. In my case, it was phentermine. I continued ordering it and taking it from online pharmacies here and there over the years. It was extremely tempting for me to order it this time too, but I decided that I couldn't take that risk anymore now that I have a little one. I just am not sure what it does physiologically and I just wanted to work on overall health so I'm going the puritan route. I will say, however, that phetermine was very effective for me. But it costs quite a bit to order online. Like, $150 or so for a 45 day supply. Also, the stuff I got online I think was stupid of me and one shipment, in particular, made me very irritable and jittery so I wondered about it. Also, I have NEVER stopped receiving very persistent and annoying phone calls from "online pharmacy" in India asking if I want a refill. 4 Years later, and they still call several times a day. It's horrible!

Uhm, there is a reason why Fen Phen was taken off the market. I know people who got really sick on it. Just because diet pills are on the market, it doesn't mean that they are really safe. We are talking about chemicals. They have long-term side-effects. Research everything thoroughly before putting it into your body, especially if you have or plan to have children one day. That goes for the men too.

I am not a conspiracy theorist, but I don't believe that drug companies are really out there to help, they are there to make money. Even if something helps you lose quickly, if you lose too quickly you will gain it all back. There are no short-cuts if you want to keep it off for good. Wishing you all my best.

Love the food that loves you back.

Take it one day at a time!
