Okay so I am addicted to potato chips (crisps). I LOVE them. I crave them and try my hardest to fight the urge to eat them. I know I should just not buy them at all. I have cut back on them majorly. But once a week sometimes twice I buy a can (lays stax) and try to go by the serving amount but my addicted self can't stop at 12 chips....ugh. This is ruining my diet. What good is it if I eat clean, veggies, lean meats if I gorge myself with chips? Please if anyone has any tips I'm more than grateful! I know I can make my own, but my oven is messed up Sad won't be able to replace it for a couple months. I can fry them tho, but I need a healthy way to do that!
No one said it would be easy....But it's sure gonna be worth it!

I know how you feel sweetheart. I was and still am addicted to bagels!!
But I have substituted the for rice. You see, your body is craving cars and the best way to satisfy that is to give it complex crabs. I've not touched a bagel in 3wks and for me? That is a record!!
I always have a small container of cooked rice in my fridge (3days worth) and whenever I get that craving, I shove a portion of rice in the microwave and have it with so frozen mixed vegetables. This has seemed to help. A lot!
Give it a try and let me know how you get on.
Best of luck!

As a starting place, popcorn is better than chips. Just spray it with a bit of canola spray and sprinkle a bit of parmesan cheese on it (a little bit)or just flavoured salt.
Popcorn isn't really that good for weight loss but it's much better than chips. I say take small steps. Good luck.

Try home made sweet potato chips. They are easy to make, satisfying and much more healthy. Slice up some sweet potato into thin discs (about 1/8 in thick) put some olive oil in a bowl with salt, pepper and a bit of cayenne pepper. Whisk up the oil then put about 10 to 12 pieces of sweet potato in the bowl and get them coated in the mixture then bake them at 350 until done. Usually takes about 15 min depending on thickness.

I use the toaster oven and whether they cook long enough to get crisp or not is up to you. The taste of the sweet potato is very satisfying. The cayenne gives it just a bit of a kick.

My friend makes vegetable chips using a mandoline. I've seen her do beet, parsnip, sweet potato and zucchini chips...and kale dried in the oven too. She dusts them with various spices. They're actually really good. No oily, heavy feeling but all the crunch you want. You can also make a healthy dip (e.g. eggplant and harissa/paprika) to serve them with.

I've recently noticed vegetable chips packaged in the supermarket too if you don't want to make them yourself (of course, then you don't control how much oil, etc. are on them).

Popcorn is also a winner, as others have mentioned.
