Hi All,
Thanks for the add.. We have been on the WOE for approx 5 months.. we have had a couple of slips but we are human. Gatherings were hard to get used to
In the beginning.

While in the beginning I lost more size than numbers, I felt everything was moving in the right direction. So fast forward to today. I have the Ketosticks which show me traces of ketones (the 2nd pinky color) and I purchased a blood ketones machine. I'm confused.. while I understand urine has variables, my blood is only 0.3.

So yesterday I had walked just over 10k steps on walks.. and my Fitbit went flat. I walked twice in the day because I have a desk job.

My diet yesterday was two eggs cooked in butter, two cups of tea with double cream and a stevia,for lunch I had pickles, cheese and prosciutto, dinner was Brussels cooked In ghee, approx 100grams of deep fried chicken mushroom cooked in butter.. a cup of tea with double cream and stevia and two fat bombs with coconut oil dark choc and sweetner melted down..

Please give me your honest opinion.. what am I doing wrong??

You believe that being in ketosis is necessary to lose weight and you are eating too much or doing to little if you are not losing weight

Are you actually using the app?

Hi Hicks,

I think the best thing to do is remain consistent with what you are doing and not over think it. The more you analyze the more the mental side of things will have a bearing on your fat loss. I know that may sound strange but the power of the mind can do amazing things (or be detrimental at the same time too).

If you are finding that you are stagnating, try changing things up a little. That may shock your body.

its kinda the whole point of Fatsecret...guess what it does actually work if you do it properly and are consistent

What WOE are you doing? I peeked at your food diary and it confuses me a bit. From you saying you are eating fat bombs I assumed that you were eating LCHF or ketogenic, but your net carbs are really too high for that and your diet is listed as your own. If you can tell us what you are trying to do we can better try to help you. Also, I agree with Spacey in that you need to be consistent and track all food and drinks. That is the only way to ascertain what needs to be changed.

You need to add more protein to your diet..Count your Macro's Rule of thumb but not etched in stone 70% fat 20% protein 10% net carbs. I also would hold back on the Brussels till you are losing and are keto adapted stick with the leafy veg's with high fiber grams. For LCHF, aim for 75-80% fat, 10% carbs and 10-15% protein and for me, I don't lose much if my total calories exceed 1200. Check your RDI and reduce it systematically until you see yourself consistently losing, then pick your target. Try aiming for 1000-1200 and see how the weight loss goes. You can do it!

Yeah, I had the same thing - I tried but it's just not enough for me. I'm averaging 1400 or 1500 and exercising 4x a week, it takes a bit longer but at least I'm not going crazy! Good luck!

Bare in mind a 6 year old child is still growing! They would need around that amount, a lot more if they are active. I personally dont plan on growing anymore (either up or sideways hehe) nor upping my activity (just yet). Some of us do have to push our calorie intake that low to lose weight, so the advice might not be as crazy as it sounds Smile

That is starvation mode..1000-1200 calories. Extremely unhealthy. Body will start cannibalizing itself. And it won't be body fat but muscle..be careful of some of the advice you get on here, well meant I'm sure but way to extreme..
