Has anyone noticed weight GAIN when starting this program? Before finding out about Fat Secret, I was using My Fitness Pal. I was eating 1200 calories a day (1400 when breastfeeding), but I was always hungry. A friend introduced me to fat secret, which has me at 1700 calories and I feel like I'm always eating lol. I tried sticking to about 1500 calories to stay in between MFP and FS.

I've been on this program for 3 weeks now. As of last week, I had GAINED 2lbs and there's no change in this week. I've been working out 2-3x a week, 45 mins each. I know muscle weighs more than fat, but this is ridiculous. I came here wanting to drop 10lbs by June 19 and at this rate, that's not going to happen. HELP!!!!!!

I didn't go by their calculation's for calories. I did a little research online and set my own. I love this site for tracking my weight, my calories as I enter them and most of all for the support. 1700 sounds like a lot, but it depends on your activities. I "try" to limit myself to 1200 calories, but that is because I have a desk job. If I had more activity, that would allow me to increase my intake.Confused

FS calculates my RDI at 1800, but I eat on average 900 per day and I am loving it and losing nicely

FS calorie RDI's are high. Mine were over 1700 on FS. I set mine @ 1200 but mostly ate at 1000 average over a week. Even on maintenance there is no way I can eat that much and not gain weight back.

I think the RDIs are this site's only downfall...unless you have a large amount of weight to lose, if you use them, it's going to be seriously slow going, if it goes at all! The good news is that you can tweak your RDI requirements yourself to fit your own personal reality. Good luck!!
