If you want a great life, there's no secret on this earth that will give you one. It's in heaven. GOD is the only way to have a great life. He fullfills all of your needs, and loves you unconditionally! He sent his son, Jesus, to die on a cross for your sins, so you wouldn't have to live with the burden and guilt of all the sins you have committed. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." I hope you guys give your life to Jesus, he is the only way to true happiness.

Very Happy

Please save this for another site.. Respect the people that are on here..Not all are Christians...The thoughts are nice but posting on a diet site are not necessary...Sorry if this hurts your feelings but I must express what a few of us are thinking..

Well, it is in the Bible, and I beleive every word the Bible says, because it's God's word. I understand not every body is a Christian, but I'm not forcing anybody to read this. I'm expressing my views and values, just as you can express yours. Also, this is under the "life section." The topic of this section is "The secret to a great life." Not, "the secret to a great diet." Other posts said things such as, "always speak the truth" and such. I'm not apologizing because I haven't done anything wrong, and I hope you feel the freedom I do, to express what ever you beleive in this section also. That's what it's for! Sweet, so good luck on you're diet! Wooty for fatsecret!!

You go on and say what OUR daddy in heaven prompts you to say! Why is it NOT ok to talk about our GOD Jesus from the bible when He gives us the inspiration to be healthy? All good things come from Him!

Smile Hello sisters of mine that are on a quest to feel healthier and look better. I have been on You on a Diet since Jan. 6 and feel pretty good. My size 14's were getting tight so I knew it was time to take a serious look at what I'm doing with myself. I'm down 3 lbs. and I can get into a size 12 pair of jeans that until now I've only been able to pull on but not zipper. I can zip them now albeit they are tight but still it's progress. I'm doing some pilates mat classes which are helping with stress, posture and strengthening my "core" which is the abdomen and when that is stronger it affects how we walk, carry ourselves and for me it's been less headaches. I enjoy the diversity of this site and as for Rosalie, you are amazing for a gal still in high school. You keep going till you reach your goal. I love the LORD too!

Guys, come on. Not everyone on this site is going to be a Christian. Surely we should try by our actions to make this a place where everyone is comfortable?

If you mean by making everyone comfortable, we are supposed to never speak about Jesus Christ, then I am sorry but I agree with my other sisters. Why is it that everyone else can let their beliefs be known except Christians? We are supposed to tolerate everyone else's view point, and be "politically correct" so we don't offend anyone. Yet, many people offend us everyday by making fun of us and the One who gave His life for all. We have been given a mission to share the gospel, and that is all Rosalie was trying to do. It is each individual's choice what they do with the information. I understand this is a diet site, but our beliefs are an integral part of everything we do and that includes getting healthy. I am not condemning you; just letting you know that Walls or Sweet if you ever need prayer for something in your life you will know that there are people on here who will take the time to pray for you.

Very well said! I find it refreshing to see that people are willing to stand up for what they believe. Not everyone will see things the same but nobody forces anyone to read it! Jesus Christ is a big part of my life and healing, and I sure dont expect everyone to feel as I do but I dont expect to be downed because my belief, that has gotten me thru. Keep on keeping on, and to each their own opinon. (As long as I can have mine too)Cool

Regardless of whether everyone here is a christian, it's still a free country. You have the right to say you are a non believer and post it. Others have the right to say their faith is in Jesus Christ.
This is their "secret to a great life". If you don't like someone's belief, don't re-read it. Move on.

Well there goes this site! Some "secrets" should not be shared every time a soap box is made available. Why everybody is free to say and feel the way they want....the focus of this site is WEIGHT. I think there are other forums for anything you want to say...just Google!

I suggest politics for the next off topic discussion, then the Iraq war, and for good measure illegal immigration! I sure somebody knows the "SECRET" how to solve those too.

I'm looking for weight loss and fitness buddies- nothing else!

Well gee. This is so dumb. How come you guys can't understand that you can share whatever you want as "the secret to a great life" just as I have! I was not trying to open a debate, for heavens sake (oops) I posted that forever ago and just got excited to share what I beleive the secret to a great life is. Please, by all means discuss your politics and war, I don't care.

Just because I'm a Christian doesn't mean i don't want to hear what other people have to say, or reject everything that is not what I live for.

Peace, by all means, peace. Freedom of speech, and the freedom of our people- live on.

Question Funny buuuut I 've not read anywhere else on this board from others praising Allah, Yaweah, Mohammad, Buddah, etc etc... just this one post. So the blanket statement "everyone else can ...." is like my kid saying "everyone else can hang out and smoke in the middle of town, why can't I?" in a big whiney voice. I AM a christian but have sensitivites to other's belief systems and doctorine's of their faith.
Why, WHY must a Diet Site be made into a pulpit for a holier than thou attitude??? Would you want someone of a different faith telling you that the only way for you to achieve great happiness in life is to follow the Koran??? I think you would be offended.

Oh my God...sorry...Holy Mary...nope can't use that one either...Hmmmmmm...Oye!...probably should stay away from that one, also...Well, I can tell you, I am here to get diet support and tips and not come to prayer meeting. Free country is right, but does anyone want me to come on here and talk about my gay life partner or how unfair it is that we cannot marry in Maryland or how difficult it is for us to adopt a baby? I did not think so....

Yes ThomasB, you can talk about anything you want....you might find someone on here to be a diet buddy and have the same beliefs as you do and if so then you can chat. Does everyone have to read it? NO....That's what makes this such a great country to live in. If you don't want to read or participate in a particular topic then don't. See, it's your choice. This is a great site, lets not slam others for their posts....Just don't read it.

Perhaps it is because we feel assaulted by religionists when we are looking for something else. I am not here to be saved, I am here to get help losing weight.

You would feel assaulted, I am sure, if I talked graphically about my sex life here, because that is not what this site is supposed to be.

I agree with the above and really do not think that I was attacking anyone. I guess I assumed that this was a different site. Trust me, I did not mean to offend anyone. I just wish people would learn to keep their beliefs to themselves. I know it is a free country and blah blah blah...

Yes you're right. We are here to talk about losing weight. ThomasB, I don't think you offended anyone, well not me anyway. I know what you mean about not pushing your beliefs on anyone. My mama and daddy always told me that if you want to keep the peace then don't ever talk about politics or religion....Didn't mean to offened you, and I'm sorry if I did.

HAVE WE REALLY BECOME THE "UNITED STATES OF THE OFFENDED" LIKE THE COMEDIANS TALK ABOUT, FOR GOODNESS SAKES! I DIDN'T EXPECT TO LOOK UNDER SECRETS TO A GREAT LIFE AND GET A LOW CARB RECIPE OR THE ANSWER REACHING MY IDEAL WEIGHT, EVERYBODY GET A GRIP! NO ONE WOULD HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY CHILDREN OR MY FAMILY OR MY JOB OR CHALLENGES MET AS AN ANSWER. WHATS WRONG WITH MY FAITH BEING THE SECRET TO MY GREAT LIFEExclamation
