Anyone else do Zumba at home? I've seen a lot of posts from people doing the classes but I can't really do that. I got Zumba for my xbox 360 and time really seems to fly when I use it Smile Also, I work up quite a sweat even when it's super cold weather. Just wondering who else does it at home and if they enjoy it. Also, how long do you dance for per day?

I do zumba most mornings before work. I bought the zumba exhilarate dvd set. I tend to use the 20 minute rush dvd more than anything else. I don't feel like I am burning a ton of calories, but it gets things circulating in the mornings.

I'm in the same boat as 2ManyCurves. I have had the DVD set for a couple of years and have been using them in the mornings. I rotate between the 20 minute, 40 minute, and 60 minute DVD. (4x week). At first they were challenging, but now I really have to push myself to get a good workout. I basically do it to kick start my day before going to work. I also do a class at the gym on Saturdays - burns just as many calories as the 60 minute DVD if I just go with it, but if I really push myself in class I can burn a little more. It's easier to push myself harder in the class, but I don't always know the moves and sometimes it is extra hard if I did legs the day before. I also use the treadmill and elliptical at the gym and do weight training. Probably going to change it up some more soon - get back to HIIT in the morning instead of Zumba all the time Smile

Is this your first Zumba DVD? I plan to get one for the XBox kinect and wanted to get feedback on them. Are they complicated? Did you burn a lot of calories? Was it reasonably simple to follow along with? Just curious…. Smile

I just recently got mine last month, they do have a place to learn the different steps but for me it's just easier to go though the different "dances" and kinda learn as I go. I'm not perfect at it and I really don't know how many calories are burned but just 15-20 minutes and I've got a pretty good workout Smile

I hop around like a loon about 4 times a week, but i'm too unfit so I can only do about 25 minutes max before I feel like passing out. Time seems to fly, because I end up laughing myself to death imagining how i must look from a distance. Hence me also doing it at home ONLY and always alone.... I still battle with some of the steps but i will perfect them as I go...

That is exactly how I am gizmodeedee! I have to take a break after 20-30 minutes, then try more if I feel I can handle it. I feel super silly trying to do the dances so I also only do it at home...alone...despite hubby wanting to watch lol

Smile Thanks lol at least if I jiggle long enough in private I will lose a lot of the fat and won't jiggle as much in general. Then maybe he can watch...by then I should be a master at the moves!

Lol. Thanks for the laugh. Now i know I'm not the only one who feels like this. My Bf wants to watch but I don't want him too.
I let myself go for way to long. I only handle 20-30 mins at a time myself and when I look like on the kinect I'm like O.O that's me O.O what happened?
